










Part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, Wollemi National Park has been a place of great significance to Aboriginal people for thousands of years. The spectacular landscape has been sculpted over millennia into a magnificent network of soaring sandstone escarpments, plunging gorges and canyons, winding river valleys and awe-inspiring geological features that shelter a rich diversity of plants, birds and animals. Enjoy a tour by kayak on the stunning Cudgegong River, accompanied by a professional guide who will provide engaging commentary on the fascinating natural and cultural history of the area and its environmental significance. From the long history of habitation of the Wiradjuri people to the first European settlement, the notorious 'lady bushranger' and the incredible tale of the building of the dam that formed the waterway as it exists today, there are stories of interest for everyone. Enjoy a leisurely, picturesque paddle to the less explored upstream section of Cudgegong River, delving into still, reed-lined tributaries, where native birds nest and chatter and mountains and afternoon light reflect on the tranquil water. This tour allows you to truly immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings, as you float, reflect and witness firsthand the end of the day gloaming and quietening at Ganguddy. To add to this perfect start to your weekend break or escape, enjoy a glass of local sparkling! Elderflower Mist Sparkling a delicious bubbly, at nearby Widden Brook Farm on Nullo Mountain. Naturally fermented and low in alcohol, everyone can enjoy a glass, even the drivers.

Immerse yourself in the culture, history, and ancient Country of the Dabee people of the Wiradjuri nation, on the Wirimbili Cultural Tour Paddle and Walk. Awe-inspiring scenery will greet you at every turn as you paddle the pristine waters, and trace the ancient course of the river, seeing and learning about the towering and amazing pagoda rock formations that come to life in the afternoon light. Learn about the food sources the river provides, the Aboriginal history of the area, and further understand how we can all care for the rivers. You’ll alight from your kayaks downstream, where your Wirimbili guide will accompany you on further exploration of the stunning land that straddles the river, allowing you to absorb the view of the Cudgegong River from above. The guide will also identify some of the abundant native flora and fauna, explaining its significance and traditional use in medicine and bush tucker, and impart further knowledge about culture and caring for country. This beautiful and immersive tour involves paddling, and walking over some uneven ground and a moderate level of fitness is required.
