Join Walkabout Gourmet Adventures to discover one of Australia's most outstanding alpine regions. You'll be based in Dinner Plain which is a unique alpine village located on the edge of the Alpine National Park - it is the perfect location and setting for you to discover the Victorian high country. The region encompasses some of Australia's most iconic peaks - Mt. Bogong, Mt. Feathertop and Mt. Howitt. There are some stunning walks which lead to the summits of these mountains, however, there are also more gentle trails meandering through the majestic snow gums. In spring and summer, the area is ablaze with colourful alpine wildflowers.

Mallacoota is a quiet village nestled in the midst of the magnificent Croajingolong National Park and is the perfect place to explore the pristine coastal wilderness of East Gippsland. The extraordinary diversity of landscapes and ecosystems of Croajingolong NP - pure white sandy beaches, rambling heathlands, rocky coastal headlands, granite peaks, lush rainforests and towering eucalypts - have been recognised by UNESCO which nominated the park as a World Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy leisurely walks around Mallacoota Inlet and its waterways. Take a wilderness cruise around Bottom Lake on the historic MV Lochard which was built in 1910. Mallacoota is home to 300 species of birds and is a popular place for bird-watching and a great place to see Victoria's fauna in its native habitat.

Experience the majestic splendour of the magnificent Grampians with Walkabout Gourmet Adventures. This unique area offers spectacular mountain scenery with peaks over 1,000 metres and numerous species of wildlife. In spring, the national park is ablaze with an endless variety of wildflowers - it truly is a botanical paradise. Before European settlement in Australia, a large part of the Grampians was occupied by aboriginals. Today, the region contains the greatest concentration of Aboriginal rock paintings in Victoria. The Port Campbell and Otway National Parks are perfect locations for some fascinating coastal walking. Explore long stretches of un-spoilt coastline and walk in the rainforest hinterland which provides shelter for an array of unique wildlife. You will visit the famous 12 Apostles - huge limestone pillars worn and weathered by the stormy southern ocean. The magnificent Melba Gully is the jewel of the Otway National Park and is renowned for its dense forests of myrtle beech. In these marvellous regions, you stay in the best of both worlds - dramatic mountain scenery combined with the spectacular coastal landscape. Stay in delightful accommodation and enjoy delicious cuisine from these different regions.
