There are a multitude of options on offer for the more experienced angler within the Snowy Valleys area. Locally there are several options on offer within a 30minute drive of Tumut. A little further afield, the famed Kosciuszko National Park is a fly anglers paradise. Here there is endless scope throughout the season for sight fishing to beautifully conditioned rainbow & brown trout. If prospecting likely riffles and runs with a dry dropper is your ideal, the high country is a dry fly fishers dream! Jimmy has spent more time on this impoundment Fly Fishing for trophy-sized Murray Cod than anyone else, pouring countless hours, night after night, week after week into developing an understanding of this elusive trophy fish and how to best present a fly to them with consistency. Through this relentless approach, Jimmy’s results on Blowering Dam are a testament to his dedication & ability to learn a species and their traits in a world little explored by fly fishermen. The newly launched vessel “In Cod We Trust” has been custom-built for SVFF and specifically designed to target these impoundment giants. Fitted out with top-of-the-line Garmin Electronics and a thoughtful layout, it makes for a great platform to target these fish out of.
