Maitland City Council has launched a new innovative self-guided walking tour that explores local flood history using interactive experiences, augmented reality and digital storytelling. Using a smartphone to scan QR codes at stops during the tour, you can access 10 immersive augmented reality experiences that depict Maitland’s flood history – from life sized recreations of Maitland Town Hall during the 1955 floods to specialised flood rescue vehicles and archival images.
