








You can start at any of 30+ businesses and meander your way through the towns and villages as you discover the beauty of the Southern Highlands and enjoy pies along the way. Discovering sweet and savoury pie options along the way. In the Mittagong area you will find pies available at: Samuel Gees Pies & Pastries, The Gumnut Patisserie, Chelsea Bakery, Mittagong Cakes & Pies, and even at Hill Top Village Bakery & Cafe. You can also enjoy a 'pie on a plate' at the Mittagong RSL Bistro. Travelling to Berrima won't disappoint with delicious options available from: Baked in Berrima, The Berrima General Store, The Gumnut Patisserie and for a 'pie on a plate' the Surveyor General Inn should not be missed. In the Bowral area you enjoy a great range of pies from: The Gumnut Patisserie, Janeks Cafe, Sonoma Baking Company, and for some great 'pie on a plate' options seek out the Bowral Hotel, the Scottish Arms and The Briars Inn. Out to Robertson to the famous Robertson Pie Shop and then to Southern Pies as you head out of town and make your way to Werai and the equally famous Farm Club Australia. From here its into Moss Vale a steaming hot pie can be found at: Kim Thi Hot Bread, Southern Rise Pies and Polly's Pies & Pastries, and the Flour Bar should not be missed for a 'pie on a plate' option. From Moss Vale you can make your way t you can traverse into Sutton Forest where you'll find a 'pie on a plate' treat at the Sutton Forest Inn, Peppers Manor House, Cherry Tree Hill Wines and Eling Forest Winery. And, you'll great options available at Heatherbrae's Pies too. Making your way towards Bundanoon is the last section of the journey and a stop at the Bundanoon Club for a 'pie on a plate' option is well worth the stop, or a take away from Potters Pantry Bundanoon is just the fix if you are heading into the Morton National Park for a walk.

Arriving in Berrima you'll be so impressed by the Georgian architecture of many of the buildings as you find a place to park the car because you will be able to walk around the village and discover all the pie offerings. You'll find all sorts of delicious pie treats at Baked in Berrima, the Gumnut Patisserie and the Berrima General Store. You'll also find a great 'pie on a plate' option at Australia's oldest continually licenced Inn, The Surveyor General. The Berrima historic walk is a great way to meander the village and learn about it's history at the same time.

The Pie Trail is filled with great options in and around Mittagong. You'll also be able to see the beautiful Lake Alexandra, take a heritage walk around Mittagong and even venture up Mt Gibraltar, then fill your belly with incredible tasty pies. You'll find pie outlets in Hill Top, Braemar and Mittagong. Not to be missed are: the Hill Top Village Bakery and Cafe, Samuel Gees Pies & Pastries in Braemar, and in Mittagong you'll be able to choose from the Chelsea Bakery, Mittagong Cakes & Pies for great take away options. Also in Mittagong, the Gumnut Patisseries is a go to for takeaways, or you might like to take a pew outside under one of their big brollies. The Mittagong RSL Club is the perfect option if you would prefer a 'pie on a plate' option.

Bowral is the largest town in the Southern Highlands and boasts a great range of pie trail options from takeways to gastro pubs. Meandering around the Bowral CBD you'll soon find that it's more than just a country town, there's a sophistication about it that will allow you to treat all your senses. On the Pie Trail you'll find favourites including the Gumnut Patisserie (beware you may need to queue) and Sonoma Baking Company for take away options you'll be spoilt for choice. The Biscotti Coffee Store and Janeks Cafe are also great places to partake in a delicious pie in a relaxed cafe atmosphere. If you're feeling more inclined towards sitting and staying for a while perhaps with a glass of local wine, you can choose from the Bowral Hotel, the Scottish Arms Hotel or the Briars Inn all with great 'pie on a plate' options to satisfy the most selective of pie palettes. Bowral is also the home to the Bradman Museum and International Cricket Hall of Fame - and a visit here is a must - you can even enjoy your takeaway pies at one of the many picnic tables setup around the famous Bradman Oval. From Bowral its an easy drive out towards Robertson - yes BABE town. And here you'll find pies abounding at the famous Robertson Pie Shop, the Southern Rise Bakery and you'll even find a must stop destination offering great vegetarian and vegan options.

Moss Vale is the rural capital of the Southern Highlands and boasts fantastic boutique homewares shopping not to be missed, but of course there's also a great selection of pies to be found on the trail too. Start at the Flour Bar for a relaxing drink and pie on a plate option, then think about some takaways to take home and you'll find these at Kim Thi Hot Bread, Polly's Pies & Pastries and the Southern Rise Bakery too. A short diversion to just outside Moss Vale is well worth the 5 minute drive and you'll come to Farm Club Australia where they grow the meat to make their incredible pies - you can partake on the premises or they are fabulous take home options. Heading south from Moss Vale to Sutton Forest you're in for a treat, here you can choose from a fine dining option of a pie on a plate in Katers Restaurant at Peppers Manor House, a pub version at the Sutton Forest Inn and close by you'll find a couple of our popular cellar doors offering their own Pie Trail treats, Eling Forest Winery and Cherry Tree Hill Wines.

Bundanoon is a quaint village in the southern part of the Southern Highlands surrounded by Morton National Park and is famous for it's annual Bundanoon Highland Gathering - Brigadoon. It is easily accessed from Moss Vale via Werai and Exeter or via Sutton Forest and Exeter and is a great drive through lush countryside. Once you arrive you can treat yourself to delicious pies at Potter's Pantry. You can choose to dine in or takeaway and perhaps picnic in the nearby national park. If you would like to enjoy a glass of ale with your pie, then the Bundanoon Club is the perfect stop. Country hospitality at its best.
