Each winter, as the season turns cold, Borrodell Estate hosts its signature Black Tie & Gumboot Truffle Hunt and Dinner, a celebration of one of the world's most prized ingredients, the Black Périgord truffle.
The experience begins in the estate's truffière, where guests join trained dogs on a guided hunt through some of the oldest producing truffle trees on mainland Australia. From there, the evening unfolds in the warmth of the cellar with a five-course degustation led by a celebrated guest chef.
Over the years, the table has been shaped by some of Australia's leading culinary talent, including Corey Costelloe, Giovanni Pilu, Robert Molines and Justin North - cementing its place as a standout event on the winter food calendar.
Equal parts refined and playful, guests are invited to dress in black tie with a nod to tradition in their most creative gumboots.
A fleeting season, a serious culinary moment, and one of Orange's most anticipated winter experiences.
