This June, Cowra Micro presents Instructions for Conjuring, a new exhibition by artist Simone Darcy.
Instructions for Conjuring brings together a series of photomontages created using an eco gumoil process on HahnemĂĽhle rag paper. Through acts of layering, erosion, and emergence, the works explore transformation as both material process and ritual act.
Combining analogue and digital photographic fragments, surreal forms, and hand-worked surfaces, the exhibition considers the body as a porous site where memory, landscape, myth, and matter intertwine. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, the works operate as visual instructions - part ritual, part map through which alternative ways of seeing and becoming are conjured.
Join them for the exhibition opening of Instructions for Conjuring at Cowra Micro. This special event offers an opportunity to experience Simone Darcy's body of work firsthand and hear more about the processes and ideas behind the exhibition.
Guests are invited to meet the artist, explore the works in conversation, and celebrate the opening of this evocative new exhibition with the local arts community.
