The northern stage of the Grampians Peaks Trail is wild, rugged and absolutely spectacular. In this unique experience, you will explore the best parts of the northern end of Gariwerd, summit peaks, get splashed by waterfalls, experience 420 million years of geology and 40,000 years of human history. While the days will be adventurous, the evenings will be spent in comfort in the exclusive, off-the-grid eco-cabin surrounded by national park. Delicious, freshly prepared meals with a focus on local produce, complete with a selection of local wines. A complete Grampians experience, without sacrificing comfort. Perfect.

The Central Grampians is the most iconic stage of the Grampians Peaks Trail. You'll journey over rugged and dramatic landscapes to visit some of the most recognised features in the national park. Venus Baths, the Grand Canyon and of course the Pinnacle - and that's just the first day! The beating heart of the central Grampians is the small town of Halls Gap. This bustling little hub also happens to be the starting point of the central stage of the GPT and in recognition of that, your journey will not only explore the mountains and trails but the culture and community that reside amongst them. This little valley is full of produce and people who are passionate about hospitality and we'll get to meet some of the stars and experience what they have to offer At the end of each day's walk, you will be transferred back to their boutique private accommodation for a hot shower, a glass of local wine and to sample some local Grampians produce before being treated to outstanding dining experience.

You’ll begin your journey at the northernmost tip of the Grampians near Mount Zero and over the course of four days, you will hike southward all the way to Halls Gap. Each night you’ll camp in their supported hiker camps, rest, enjoy a freshly cooked trail meal, and sleep under a blanket of stars. No matter your level of hiking experience, their passionate local team will guide and support you through this journey to explore their backyard. On the Mount Zero Northern expedition, you will cover every step of the Northern Stage of the Grampians Peaks Trail and end in Halls Gap at the beginning of the Central Stage. If your goal is to walk the entire length of the Grampians Peaks Trail, whether it be in one go or over a period of time, this is the first trip for you. After you complete this, you can then join the Central and then Southern Expeditions and you will have covered every step – no missing links!

The Central Expedition is a five day, four night journey that tackles some of the most remote, exposed, and inaccessible sections of the GPT, but some of the most rewarding. The Central Grampians features some of the most recognised features in the National Park, including Mount Rosea, Venus Baths, the Grand Canyon, the Pinnacle Walk and Lookout, and Mount William. You start gently with well trodden trails of Gariwerd and visit some of the most iconic sites in the region. Your first night’s camp is a stunning campsite that eases us into things with all the comforts of an enclosed communal shelter for the evening. From there, you hike southward and encounter less traffic the further you go. You tackle the longest single ascent in the whole GPT, summit the highest peak in all of Gariwerd and cross the exposed, high elevation Major Mitchel Plateau. From here you camp in backcountry hiker camps, rest, enjoy a freshly cooked trail meal, and sleep under a blanket of stars. No matter your level of hiking experience, their passionate local team will guide and support you through this journey to explore their backyard.

The GPT E2E expedition is not for the faint-hearted. It’s 13 days on the trail that will test your stamina and resolve with every peak and turn opening a new view that will inspire you to keep going. This expedition will cover the entire length of the GPT from north to south, walking every day. With the exception of the fourth night in Halls Gap, you’ll stay in the on-trail hiker camps in lightweight hiking tents experiencing for yourself the constantly changing personality of the Gariwerd Landscape. Over the course of the expedition, you will witness numerous changes to the environment, experience different levels of remote access, and gain an in-depth understanding of the land. The northern and southern sections of the trail have relatively good access and amazing facilities at campsites, while the wild central section is much more remote with limited access and shelter leaving you more exposed to the will of the mountains.

The Southern Expedition is a five-day, four-night journey that will take you from Jimmy Creek Trailhead at the end of the Central Expedition and continue the journey southward all the way to the final steps into Dunkeld. Your first two hiker camps in this expedition are ‘backcountry’ campsites, meaning they are much more inaccessible and do not have an enclosed communal shelter for evenings. While they will have lightweight portable shelter, the experience will be largely dictated by the weather conditions. The last two hiker camps you’ll stay at are two of the best and most well equipped on the GPT.
