Brunswick Heads NSW 2483

End the day with a sunset cruise up the Richmond River. Out of the Blue Adventures takes guests on a two-hour trip upriver at that beautiful time when the light’s soft and golden and the river’s abundant wildlife is getting ready to call it a night. You may see dolphins, and almost certainly lots of birds: the Richmond River Nature Reserve is home to 160 species, including ospreys, pelicans, terns and oystercatchers. Many of them are endangered. A marine biologist on board your 20-guest eco-vessel will tell you all about the residents of the mangrove forests and other habitats in this remarkable ecosystem, as well as explain some local history. With a cold beverage and snacks in hand, your job is just to sit back, soak it all in, and grab a selfie at sunset. You’ll be back in Ballina in time to find somewhere nice for dinner.
