Join the delivery of mail for Australia Post to the water-access-only settlements perched on the banks of the spectacular Lower Hawkesbury River. It is located right beside the Hawkesbury River train station at Brooklyn, with a direct train from Sydney Central. The Riverboat Postman is Australia's last remaining mail boat in operation and is one of the hidden gems of Sydney. Closer than the Blue Mountains, halfway to the Hunter Valley and only 20 minutes from the Australian Reptile Park at Kariong, the cruise offers a true "step back in time" experience with its old-school snail-mail delivery service to locals (and their dogs) who come to meet us on the wharves. Cruise along and take in the beautiful scenery the magnificent Hawkesbury River has to offer. This cruise includes morning tea and coffee with our famous homemade ANZAC biscuits, lunch and informative commentary throughout the cruise. Bookings essential.

The Riverboat Postman now offers a shorter cruise showcasing the incredible scenery of Broken Bay at the mouth of the Hawkesbury River and Cowan Creek. In just 75 minutes, you'll see native Australia at its best, all whilst munching away on some equally spectacular pastries and profiteroles. Indigenous rock carvings, secluded beaches, waterfalls, islands, national parks - you get it all! Suitable for all ages, pram-, walker-, wheelchair-friendly, this cruise goes in the opposite direction to the daily mail run by The Riverboat Postman. It's perfect for those short on time, or those travelling with some shorter attention spans...and it's also timed perfectly for arguably the best fish and chips on the planet back in Brooklyn. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL! Please check the online calendar for availability.
