This in-depth cultural experience begins with a meet and greet at Young and then onto a village outside of town, where participants are welcomed by Aunty Enid, a Wiradjuri Elder, and introduced to the significance of bush tucker.
The cultural experience continues to other significant locations, where attendees will take part in various ancient traditions such as a smoking ceremony and explore Wiradjuri culture through artefacts that are thousands of years old. The experience concludes with Wiradjuri Elder Uncle Keith providing a hands-on bush tucker demonstration, sharing knowledge on traditional survival techniques, including the identification and harvesting of witchetty grubs.
