Armidale Tourist Park

Stopped here on a way back home . I would call it as a best place to stay when you travel, heaps of spots to park caravan or set up your tent, nice and green grass you don't really walk wearing shoes. Beautiful clean swimming pool, toilets and showers clean up,spotless. Barbecue and kitchen are amazing and clean as well, even 2 kitchens, nice yard for the kids to play. I would recommend everyone to stay there. Thanks Guys

This place really made a great first impression, which I'm disappointed it didn't end up living up to. From the moment I booked, they maintained excellent communication. And when we arrived the lady who checked me in was friendly, professional, and very helpful. The park grounds are quiet, neat, tidy and well presented with all the amenities you expect of a park of this size. We had a two bedroom villa, which ended up being a handicap accessible unit. It had a huge carport and was almost as big as my own house. On first visual the unit appeared to be fairly recently refreshed and reasonably modern. It was a warm day so aircon and fans had been left on which meant the unit was nice and cool upon our arrival. The TV didn't work and even though the lady who checked me in was about to leave for the night, once I informed her of this she did everything she could to make sure we had a working TV for the night. Unfortunately the unit just wasn't as clean as it couldve been. After a short period of walking around the unit barefoot, my feet were black. It seems like the floor only gets swept and not vacuumed or mopped. Most vertical surfaces were also somewhat dusty and there were various kinds of spiders everywhere inside the unit. After the first impression that was made I was disappointed that the unit just wasn't up to my standards of cleanliness (I have worked as a cleaner at a caravan park and there's no excuse for it being left how it was) My son lost a toy under the lounge and upon moving the lounge to get the toy we found rubbish left over from other guests. I was looking forward to a nice morning shower however while the heat was good there was next to no pressure behind it and I would've been better off spraying myself with a Windex bottle. Disappointing because this place has the potential to be an amazing little holiday park, but unfortunately misses the mark ever so slightly. I paid $164 a night for the unit and I genuinely don't believe it was worth more than $130 a night. The cleanliness would have to improve dramatically for me to consider coming back.

A short drive to town. Staff friendly. The facilities are clean and easy to get to. Many caravan park are drive through, so much easier. Pool was popular with families and the bbq area is good.

Stayed in a cabin. Very old and run down. Very dirty. Bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Dirt and hair around the walls. Kitchen was ok but toaster and all plates, cups and cutlery needed washing prior to us using at they were still dirty from previous occupant. All floor edges in the entire cabin had dirt, dust and bugs. Kids play equipment was covered in black soot/grease. This place may be acceptable for a caravan/RV stay but we would not return for a cabin.
