Discovery Parks - Forster

This is the first time I have ever been to one of these family friendly parks - I’m pleasantly surprised ! This place is a kids dream. The cabin was clean, spacious, and was equipped with a kitchen that had the cookware we needed. The cabin was right next to the water splash park and pool. A cafe was just around the corner. We hired the pedal cart for 30mins. My son loved the jumping pillow. The kids had a blast here. Parking was easy (we drive an EV), the cabin had an electrical port outside to charge the car. Staff were exceptional.

My husband kept his promise with booking a family holiday, he booked the perfect spot for our kids. Family friendly, staff were welcoming on arrival. The splash park and pool are fantastic for the little ones and not small. But what i love the most is the people that surround you friendly vibes, welcoming, families. Had loads of fun with leaving the pool for a call to play with slime. The happiness with the kids and the adults was just what was needed for more fun. Cabin was clean we asked for extra towels with no fuss and a delightful Penny. Deluxe cabin had air conditioning in all the rooms clean and tidy. Park is well maintained and clean. Cafe also onsite for a morning coffee, bacon and egg roll or pizza in the evening The view along the lake pitchersque with views of cows. To the Owners you are running an amazing park and to the staff thank you for all your hard work.

Took a gamble booking for a trip from Qld to Vic. Not knowing the area, we were hoping to book somewhere that was close/walk to a shop. Unfortunately it was a 10 to 15 min drive in to town but we still booked it as the park looked good on the internet. Facilities were good. Were meant to stay for 2 nights however, left at 4pm on the second night. Kids were excited to hit the road and there was no point sleeping in the van there just to wake early and go. Kids were keen to keep swimming but people smoking in pool area put us off. That was the main and almost only negative. People smoking in the pool area around our kids that afternoon. Bad enough we decided to leave. When we checked out, staff noticed it was a day early and asked if everything was OK. I said sort of. Happy with the park except smoking in the pool area with children. The staff member didn't show any concern and said there weren't really any rules around smoking in pool area. We had noticed there were no signs saying you can't smoke. I am guessing the staff member was a smoker by her lack of reaction or concern but i may be wrong. I would have thought it was a law of some kind but haven't looked in to it. Overall great park but I would never stay there again, purely based on they allow smoking in the pool area. It stinks. It's unhealthy, and my kids want to enjoy the pool and fresh air, not cigaret smoke.

5 Stars no problem. Not because it is 5 star accommodation but because our cabin was exactly as advertised. We had cabin 116. Probably the cheapest and most basic of the pet friendly options. Two bedrooms, 1 queen bed, 4 bunks. The cabin was clean, the shower was hot with plenty of pressure and the bed was comfortable. That's all I need. This is very basic accommodation. However it was clean and comfortable, the kitchen was functional with enough cutlery and equipment to cook basic meals. Be aware the long side of the cabin faces west and the whole cabin can be quite hot and only the lounge/kitchen/ dining area is air-conditioned. Other than that, perfectly good accommodation for a couple of nights.
