Cumberland Lorne

We stayed here for one night and we wish we had another night! Not the most luxurious place, but the room was great for the price (jet tub, huge living space, full kitchen, bedroom and balcony) and just a few minutes to the beach if you walk. Great location and exactly what we needed. We didn't use the amenities (gym, pool), but they looked good. Thanks for a great easy stay!

I had a wonderful stay and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with amazing views and a very relaxing atmosphere.

Lorne Cumberland continues to be, without question, the absolute best place to stay. Even 35 years on, it still offers not only the best rooms, facilities, and views, but service that truly matches — and exceeds — the quality of the accommodation. Every single time we visit, the staff go above and beyond. I’ve already written two previous reviews praising the wonderful service, and yet somehow they continue to outdo themselves. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The team consistently looks for ways to make our stay exceptional, not just comfortable. Small but meaningful touches make all the difference — like allocating a room with a view whenever possible, even when booked into a garden room. It’s clear they are constantly thinking about how to enhance your experience, not because they have to, but because they genuinely care. This is exactly why I refuse to stay anywhere else. The level of service simply does not compare. We always look forward to dining here as well — it’s all part of the experience. We’ve already booked again for Easter because this is truly the place to be. Lorne Cumberland never disappoints, and we can’t wait to return once again.

This would have to be one of the best places we have ever stayed in . We were honeymooners and upon arrival we were greeted by really friendly staff who gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne. The place is so clean and the apartments are just beautiful if I could give this place a million stars I would and we will definitely be coming back thank you Cumberland resort for making our honeymoon something we will never forget
