We recently visited TRAPT Bar & Escape Rooms and while there were a few positives, overall the experience fell a bit short compared to many other escape rooms we’ve done. The biggest thing we noticed was the lack of atmosphere and immersion. The room didn’t really have a strong vibe, and there was very little backstory or setup provided beforehand, which made it harder to feel engaged or invested in the scenario. From a practical standpoint, there were no lockers or dedicated storage for belongings, so we were asked to leave our items on a bench inside the space. That didn’t feel ideal and slightly took away from the sense of immersion and security. We’ve done over 45 escape rooms, so we’ve seen a pretty wide mix of quality and styles. That’s given us a good sense of what works and what doesn’t. We usually look for strong immersion, a clear story, and puzzles that feel creative and interactive. Compared to a lot of others we’ve done, this one just didn’t quite hit those marks. One positive was the host they were friendly and did their job well, which we appreciated. However, even with good hosting, the overall experience still didn’t quite match up to what we’ve seen at many other escape rooms in terms of energy, immersion, and engagement. After escaping, there also wasn’t much of a wrap-up or acknowledgment, which made the ending feel a bit abrupt and impersonal. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it felt underwhelming given the potential. With stronger storytelling, more interactive puzzles, and a more polished setup, it could be significantly improved.
