Rusty Iron Rally

This Father's Day weekend, Macksville Showground fills up with the kind of machinery that built this country. The Rusty Iron Rally is a celebration of Australia's rich heritage, with 2026 marking 80 years of Ferguson tractors and equipment, a century of Stihl, and a dedicated showcase of British engines and tractors. Add a Buick car show and shine, and there's a piece of history for every kind of machinery lover.

It's a great day out for the whole family. Catch chainsaw demonstrations on Saturday and woodchopping on Sunday, watch fire rescue crews in action both days, and grab a bite from the Show Society's food and drink stalls while you wander through decades of restored engines, tractors, trucks, cars and bikes.

The Rally proudly supports the Macksville Scotts Head Surf Life Saving Club, so a day spent looking closer at the Valley's mechanical history also helps keep the coast safe.
