Black Beach is a unique Kiama landmark, named after the dark basalt sand and cobblestones that line its shoreline. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing saltwater swim in the beautiful ocean pools, explore the rocky coast, or relax on the open lawns of Black Beach Reserve.
Conveniently located between Kiama Harbour and the town centre, Black Beach is also a lively gathering place, hosting popular markets on the third Sunday of each month. There is a memorial nearby to the SS Bombo, a ship that made its final departure from Kiama on 24 February 1949 and is now a popular dive site.
