Seasonal Long Forest Walks
The four seasons gives four reasons to explore the ever-changing forests, from the russet oranges of autumn to the explosive colours of spring. Knowledgeable and passionate volunteers lead visitors through spectacular forests to give visitors an insight into the history, purpose and stories of the National Arboretum Canberra. The longer seasonal walks allow time to delve deeper into how the seasonal significance of the trees and forests. There are over 20 kilometres of multipurpose trails that wind through a mosaic of 94 individual forests at the National Arboretum Canberra. Whilst you are there, surround yourself with some of Canberra's best panoramic views, stunning architecture and themed, landscaped gardens. Please note: Most guided tours take place on dirt trails and may have uneven terrain. Please contact the arboretum to discuss how they can adapt a tour for accessibility options. Bring a hat, drinking water, sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Recommended for ages 12 and over (with an accompanying adult). Bookings are required.
