Set on a fifth-generation family farm just outside Bathurst, Bathurst Grange Distillery combines heritage, agriculture, and craftsmanship to create a truly paddock-to-bottle experience. Founded in 2014 by father- and-son team Nick and Toby, the distillery celebrates its farming roots while producing award-winning whisky, gin, and vodka.
The Grange itself is a state-heritage-listed property that has long been central to the region's rural story. Today, it remains a working farm where grain is grown, harvested, and transformed into premium spirits. Visitors can see first-hand how traditional farming and modern distilling come together, with a strong focus on sustainability, local ingredients, and innovation.
The distillery offers tastings, tours, and immersive experiences that highlight the journey from field to glass. Guests can sample a range of handcrafted gins infused with native botanicals, discover the evolving whisky program, or enjoy limited seasonal releases. Bathurst Grange Distillery is also known for its relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—whether you are stopping by for a tasting, sharing a woodfired pizza with friends, or attending a special event on-site.
Beyond the drinks, the distillery plays an active role in the community, hosting markets, seasonal gatherings, and private events. Its location on the Bathurst–Oberon Road makes it an easy stop for travelers exploring the Central Tablelands and Blue Mountains regions.

We had my wife’s 40th at the Distillery recently. Nick cooked us Woodfired Pizzas to keep us fed while we enjoyed the range of Gin and Whiskey - great venue and exceptional service.
Bathurst Grange Distillery - family business from Paddock to Bottle and great customer service from the team who made us feel so welcome. Delicious Gin tasting boards - Rose Garden Gin was my favourite! The whisky was pretty awesome too, especially their Wild Nectar Whisky. Cheese platter was good too, baked Camembert was sooo yummm and the Charcuterie board looked good too, all very tasty, and the food complemented our drinks perfectly with a gelato tub to follow. You can sit outside beneath the shade of the big umbrellas on the courtyard, enjoying the views of the horses and lambs in the paddocks and hills beyond, or inside the Cellar Door in air conditioned comfort or a cosy fire on colder days. Sitting here enjoying excellent gin and whisky and munching on cheese and Charcuterie was the perfect way to while away a summer’s afternoon and we’ll be returning very soon. kids, and dogs on leads welcome too. (We had both!) . Highly recommended.
Amazing service and catered to our group of 24. Nick and his team were all so welcoming. Pizzas were fresh and delicious and gin tasting was a great experience. Would highly recommend this family run business!
A wonderful family run distillery producing delicious spirits. Pop in and bottle feed the potty lambs, go on a tour of the farm or just relax by the fire and taste wonderful gins and whisky’s. My favourite was the Blue Mountain Gin. A stunning blue colour that transforms to a light pink as you add mineral water. The staff are incredibly friendly and you can see the produce is made from farmers who love what they do. A definite “MUST drop in” if you are visiting Bathurst.
A lovely little family run distillery with amazing gins. We took the tour and were amazed to find out that the tour itself was run by the Jones' themselves. Toby was first up and he took us behind the doors of the distillery, explaining the processes of whisky and making. Next up was his son Nick who walked us through the tastings. We tried 5 different gins and were able to sample as many times as we wanted. Finally, Sue, Toby's wife gave us a nice tour around the farmland, telling us stories about the history of the area. We booked last minute for a group of 6 and they were able to accommodate us last minute. I would highly recommend a visit here. The family are well informed about different aspects of gin, and their enthusiasm for gin really shows.
