The Kite Bus

Had a fantastic session with Brownie at Tomakin River mouth with hire gear. He was very generous with time and let me use multiple setups from the huge quiver of gear he had. We both kited around the bay on waves and flat water and had heaps of fun. Brownie is the man! If you're thinking of kiting down the south coast hit him up and he'll sort you out!

What an experience!! Highly recommend! TKB is definitely number 1 Kitesurfing & water sports school! As a beginner in kite surfing I was up in no time, from Brownie’s positive encouragement & recognising my every move he made my dream came true: to be able to kite surf. Brownie also took my 5 year old son under his wing for a kite surf too! What a legend 👏🏻

Brownie is friendly, no nonsense, ultra experienced waterman who quickly assessed my strengths and weaknesses and was able to run the private lesson at exactly the right pace. I was able to turn the kite, body drag and water launch on a board more quickly than I expected and all was due to his expert tuition and advice as we went along. The power in kites is massive and some of the controls counter-intuitive... so you really do need a few lessons to be safe, even coming from a 30 yr surfing background I would not have been confident to try it without a tutor. He could see when even a small hand or body movement went wrong and diagnose problems immediately. Will be back for more and if you want to learn kitesurfing on the south coast, this is a no brainer. Can’t speak highly enough of the kite bus. Brownie was a phenomenal instructor and easy to get along with. He dove into the details of the “why” behind everything kiting. Whether you’re an advanced kiter or a novice kite bus has ya covered.
