The Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council (Eden LALC) is a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation that offers immersive cultural experiences on the Far South Coast of New South Wales along the Bundian Way. The Bundian Way is a project decades in the making, creating a cultural hiking trail envisioned by, constructed by, and cared for by, the local Aboriginal community. Guided experiences along the Bundian Way are led by the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council's Country Custodians, who share their deep connection to Country through storytelling, sharing insights into local Aboriginal tradition and culture that has been passed down for generations.
By participating in these cultural experiences, visitors are helping to make a meaningful difference in the local Aboriginal community as these experiences provide opportunities for economic independence and intergenerational knowledge sharing, whilst strengthening cultural pride among the local Aboriginal community.
Set against stunning coastal and bushland landscapes, these experiences offer a rare opportunity to engage with the world's oldest living culture in an authentic and meaningful way.

Giiyong | Welcome - to Thaua Country! Connect to Country along a 3.8-kilometre trail that is part of the Gateway to the Bundian Way, where ancient stories, ceremony, breathtaking landscapes, and Aboriginal culture come alive. Begin with a traditional smoking ceremony at Jigamy, home to the Keeping Place, before venturing along a section of the Bundian Way to the breathtaking geological feature, the Pinnacles. Traverse serene coastal bushlands that open to sweeping ocean vistas, guided by Country Custodians who share their deep connection to the land. Immerse yourself in the rich knowledge systems of the local Aboriginal community, learning about plants, cultural practices, and the timeless ways of knowing that have sustained this land for thousands of years. This is more than a guided walk; it’s a profound cultural experience.
The Bundian Way Bilbao Cultural Experience is an easy walk led by passionate guides (Alkira and Nicole). The Pinnacles are truly stunning. The forest walk is less picturesque than some other national parks, but the insights into the native plants, and their use as food, medicine or seasonal markers, made the experience memorable.
Walking gently on the land with Alkira from the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council's Bundian Way cultural tours was a special experience for my family and I. We loved listening to the stories of Country and culture and soaking in the beauty of the land. Thank you 😊
We loved our Bundian Way walk with Alkira & Nicole as our guides. It was a fascinating insight into First Nation’s incredible adaptation & care for country. We learned a lot, & congratulations to Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council for your work. We look forward to connecting again with the people at the Jigamy Centre in the future. It’s great to see the Indigenous community on the Far South Coast reclaiming & celebrating their culture. Sincere thanks Ruth & Peter.
A deeply grounding, unforgettable experience. Walking the Bundian Way – Jigamy to Pinnacles Trail as part of the Bilbaan Cultural Experience was far more than a scenic walk — it was a powerful journey of connection, learning, and respect. From the moment we arrived at Jigamy, we felt warmly welcomed. Our guide, Nathan, shared stories, knowledge, and history with such heart and depth that the landscape around us came alive. Every step held meaning — from learning about native plants and their uses, to understanding the significance of the land, ceremony, and the enduring connection of the local Aboriginal people to Country. The trail itself is peaceful and stunning, winding through coastal bushland with glimpses of the ocean before opening to the incredible Pinnacles. This experience left us feeling grounded, reflective, and immensely grateful. Thank you to the Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council team for hosting us — and to Clair for her dedication in helping bring these stories to light. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience Aboriginal culture in an authentic and respectful way. This is a must-do for visitors to the region.
I had a fantastic morning on the Bilbaan Cultural Experience from Jigamy to Pinnacles. Our guide Nathan was generous in sharing his knowledge and insights on country, local plants and animals along the walk. It was a beautiful walk and revealed the landscape in a whole new light. The native rosella iced tea at the end of the walk was a lovely touch! Thanks so much Nathan and Eden Local Aboriginal Land Council for a great experience.
