Cronulla Surfing Academy is the most fun and personal surf school in Sydney. Experienced coaches teach beginners through to advanced levels.

Cronulla is just 35 minutes from the city and is the only city beach with a direct train line from the central business district.

Cronulla Surfing Academy will ensure you have a memorable experience learning the thrill of riding a wave.

With lessons available for beginners through to advanced surfers ages five years and up, Cronulla Surfing Academy has something for everyone.

Group Lessons

Are you a beginner wanting to learn the thrill of riding a wave or an intermediate wanting to improve on your existing skills to help gain the confidence to get to the next level, then the coaches at Cronulla Surfing Academy have the experience and knowledge to make sure you have a comfortable and fun learning experience. All group lessons cater for beginner and intermediate levels as groups are broken down on the day to ensure personal attention for everyone. All the gear is supplied including wetsuits and softboards.

From $70 to $400 per person

Cronulla Surf Academy was fantastic. It was my 7-year-old daughter’s first time surfing, and the instructor made her feel completely relaxed and confident from the start. They took the time to explain important safety information, like how to spot a rip, and provided excellent training on the basics of surfing. Instructor Harry was brilliant with all the kids and had my daughter standing up on her very first attempt. Before this lesson she was even apprehensive about going into the whitewash, so seeing her confidence grow so quickly was amazing. I highly recommend these guys—an excellent experience for kids and first-time surfers.
