Glen Davis Shale works Saturday Tour

Embark on a 1.5 to 2-hour guided walk through the Glen Davis Shale Works ruins. The tour will cover the history of the site's structures and the political hurdles that precipitated its shutdown. Participants will also get to see historical photographs from when the site was active. Discover the origins of the shale, its significance, and the reasons why it was an extraordinary historical venture for its era. Private tours can be arranged upon request. Please note that there is no internet access available on-site. Dogs are not permitted unless it is a private tour.
