K7 Adventures is a collective of mountain guides with a passion for the outdoors. Individually, they are professionals and experts in their field. Collectively, they have decades of experience to share with you. K7 has been operating in The Snowy Mountains for over Twenty Years. In that time they have embraced a "Tread Lightly" approach to guiding visitors through the National Park. K7 Adventures is an Eco Tourism Australia Certified business. They aim to share these fragile and resilient natural spaces in a manner that allows you to feel both invigorated and inspired.
K7 Guides will take you out into nature to experience the best The Snowy Mountains have to offer, then bring you back safely to the warmth and buzz of local village life. K7 runs tours year round between The Snowies and Canberra. These include hiking, camping, mountain biking, rock climbing and abseiling in Summer and snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, splitboarding, kites siing, snow camping, women's retreats, guided mountain adventures and mountaineering courses in Winter.
K7 Adventures aims to give you the highlight of your holiday, with an unforgettable experience in Australia's Alpine Playground.

These tours are perfect if you are not a skier and want to get out of the resorts and into the backcountry. You won’t need any previous skills or experience. This activity is suitable for all ages, all levels of fitness and can be easily tailored to suit your needs. You’ll be in safe hands with our experienced guides, so all you need to do is enjoy the view!

Are you curious about rock climbing and abseiling? Have you climbed in a gym and would like to experience climbing on real rock? Rock climbing is fun, satisfying and everyone can have a go! For a family and a group of friends it can be the highlight of your holiday. Rock climbing is for all ages. They can take you on a half day, an 'easy' day (a bit more than a half day) or a full day climbing and abseiling. They give private lessons and specialise in crack climbing and slab or friction climbing.

Enjoy a half day, easy day or full day snow survival course to learn where and how to set up camp, build a snow shelter (conditions permitting) and stay safe. Or camp overnight in the snow and experience the wild beauty of the winter alpine environment. You will learn essential skills for the wilderness: weather, navigation, group management, hydration and how to prevent hypothermia. Refine your skills as you plan half day snow shoe trips on the first day and on the second day, climb Mount Kosciuszko! Group sizes are small, no more than six people, to ensure Mike can spend time with each of you.
It was a wonderful experience doing the winter snow climb of Mt. Kosciuszko with K7 adventures. From understanding the trip to booking to meeting up and the climb was seamless. Lewis handled the logistics and Chess Smee was an amazing person. She guided me to the summit and though it was cold below freezing with lot of snow it was real fun. I would surely recommend K7 adventures for trips to the Snowy mountains in Australia.
I highly recommend K7 Adventures Alpine Women’s Retreat. The weekend was really well organised. Lew, Leah and the team have a calm and flexible approach adjusting the program to accommodate weather conditions, skill level or any unexpected issues like my goggles breaking! I tried snowshoeing which I loved. Our guide Simmie was really knowledgeable and a great guide, and I loved having Carleigh supporting our group with her company and Cacao. I felt really well supported the whole weekend. The food was delicious and the yoga session an added bonus. I also met some really amazing women. I could not fault anything! One of the best experiences of my life 😁
K7 Adventures Alpine Women’s Retreat was an outstanding weekend! For my first time Alpine Touring I was supported, encouraged & inspired by our exceptional guides - Chess & Lewis, and their broader team of Leah, Divya, & Simie. These guys are incredibly knowledgeable & passionate about sharing their love of the Snowy Mountains. It was wonderful to meet other like-minded women & enjoy the evenings with beautiful meals, relaxing & restorative yoga, & great conversation Lewis & Leah are the most impressive leaders. Their friendly, supportive & encouraging approach really nurtured all of us, and they have created a remarkable retreat. K7 Adventures Alpine Retreats for Women is a must do for anyone wanting to explore the stunning Snowy Mountains!
One day back in May I was casually scrolling my phone and K7‘s Alpine Women’s 3 day Retreat popped up, without hesitation I signed up, being drawn to the idea of yoga, sauna and a supportive trip skiing into the back country. Lately I have grown a bit tired of the chaos that exists skiing in the resorts and so backcountry skiing was something I’d been thinking about. The follow up information and communication was outstanding and included a fitness plan. The first day not even a blizzard could stop us as we headed to the protection of the trees, we got many tips on skiing in these conditions and terrain on the way up. Drinking cacao with a cool bunch of women beside giant rocks in wild weather after climbing up Dead Horse Gap was so so cool!. The ski down in the fluffiest snow I’ve ever been in, amongst the snow gums, getting tips and fun chats along the way by our expert guides Chess and Lew, including being helped up after sinking into the glorious fluffy snow and cheered on by these incredible people will just stick with me for a long time. The K7 ski guides Chess, Lew and content creator Divya communicated and checked in, made sure we were warm, and carried extra gear in case of need. Logistics queen Leah made sure everything else back at the lodge was perfect. The retreat catered to the group’s different interests and experience, offering snowshoeing, hardcore ski touring and for those like me who on a healing journey just wanted to ski and be. Thank you K7 crew it really was the most excellent adventure!
My first back country experience and the Intro to back country tour was an absolute cracker. Lewis was great to deal with from the first enquiry I made about booking right through sorting out trip logistics and checking in after the tour. Steve was an amazing guide and the whole experience was exceptional. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to try out back country skiing or boarding for the first time, or any of their tours. 12/10. Thanks K7 team!
