Welcome to Matt Hall Racing (MHR) — Australia's only team to have competed in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, and home of the reigning World Champion — Matt Hall.
Located just 35 minutes south of Newcastle, Lake Macquarie Airport sits between the sparkling Lake Macquarie and the Pacific coastline, offering some of the most spectacular aerial views in the country.
Check out the views for yourself as you take to the skies in a high-performance Extra 300L unlimited aerobatic aircraft, flown by one of their elite pilots. From introductory aerobatics, such as smooth loops and rolls, to the extreme - tumbling through the air end-over-end or your chance to join the 8G club.
Prefer something a little more relaxed? No problem. Choose to cruise around and enjoy flying over the stunning waters of Lake Macquarie and the Newcastle coastline, with the option to add in some gentle manoeuvres - or simply sit back and take in the view. The experience is tailored to you.

Your flight will be conducted by none other than the man himself - the 2019 Red Bull Air Race Champion Matt Hall. Buckle up for a flight truly like no other. In eight race seasons, Matt has collected seven race wins and 30 podiums, as well as his world title. All of that experience has been turned into a joy flight that will leave you feeling like a true top gun.
The Ride of Your Life (10 minute Aerobatic Flight)
The Ride of Your Life is 10 minute flight, jam-packed with adrenaline pumping action. You are in good hands. Experiences are performed by current and former RAAF fighter pilots or elite aerobatic MHR trained pilots. Buckle up in the Extra 300L, one of the fastest, most powerful and manoeuvrable two-seat aircraft in Australia. Equipped with a 360-degree view bubble canopy, check out the incredible views of Lake Macquarie upright, or upside down - the level of action is yours to choose. On the day of your flight, you can purchase an additional 10 minutes of flight time, our video package or some official MHR merchandise.
Adrenaline Junkie Package
If one adrenaline activity isn't enough for you, the Adrenaline Junkie combines our Ride of Your Life experience and a 15,000ft tandem sky dive with Sky Dive Australia. You are in good hands. Experiences are performed by current and former RAAF fighter pilots or elite aerobatic MHR trained pilots. Buckle up, the Extra 300L is one of the fastest, most powerful and manoeuvrable two-seat aerobatic aircraft in Australia. Remember, you choose how much you cruise and how much time you spend upside down!
The Ultimate Experience (20 minute Aerobatic Flight)
Hang on tight, your 20-minute high intensity aerobatic flight is performed by current and former RAAF fighter pilots or elite aerobatic MHR trained pilots in Matt's two-seat unlimited aerobatic aircraft. Your flight will start off with warm-up manoeuvres and light aerobatics over the beautiful beaches of Lake Macquarie and Newcastle, just over an hour north of Sydney. You'll then build to more advanced aerobatics manoeuvres, including loops, barrel rolls, upside down flying and tumbles. Your pilot will then take you through a Red Bull Air Race simulation with all the gravitational forces, high speeds, twists and turns the race pilots endure. Why not take it to the top and join the 8G club? You choose how much time you cruise, and how much you spend upside down. We cater our flights to you. Matt Hall Racing Experience – 5 Stars An absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. Henry was fantastic at the door, offering a warm and welcoming meet-and-greet that immediately set the tone for the day. Jamie was an exceptional pilot — confident, skilled, and incredibly engaging. She pushed the 300L to its limits while calmly guiding me through every turn, making the experience both exhilarating and reassuring at the same time. A perfect balance of adrenaline, professionalism, and passion for flying. Highly recommended.

An absolutely amazing experience, both Henry and Jamie were incredible. Both gave a very warm welcome. Jamie was an incredible pilot, she was so comforting and calming. I chickened out on a few things but she made it such an enjoyable flight, felt like I was up there with a friend having a good chat. Initially, I said I was only going to do it once, but after the whole experience, I will definitely be coming back and try push myself a little bit more.

Incredible Aerobatics Experience with Matt Hall Racing! Today, I had the privilege of experiencing an aerobatics flight with Matt Hall Racing, and it was nothing short of amazing! My pilot, Dan, was phenomenal—his skill and confidence in the cockpit immediately put me at ease. The entire experience was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill. Feeling the sheer power of the plane as we hit 8G forces was unlike anything I've ever encountered. The speed and precision with which Dan maneuvered the aircraft were mind-blowing; it was exhilarating to feel the plane respond so quickly and sharply to every command. But the highlight? I even got to do some of the maneuvers myself! Taking control of the plane and executing those rolls, turns and loop the loop was absolutely surreal. If you’re looking for an adrenaline-pumping adventure that will leave you breathless and with unforgettable memories, I highly recommend Matt Hall Racing. This is an experience you do not want to miss!

I had an absolutely incredible experience flying with Matt Hall! The adventure was extremely thrilling and beyond my expectations.
