Port Stephens Crocodile Encounters is Australia's most immersive crocodile swim experience, set inside a fully indoor facility at Bobs Farm, just outside Nelson Bay. Three connected billabong pools hold 120,000 litres of fresh water and 21 saltwater crocodiles, each pool offering a completely different encounter.
Your three hour guided experience begins in the water alongside Rosie the leopard shark, a family of adult tawny nurse sharks, and Bruce the Queensland grouper, working his way toward 400 kilograms. These animals come to you on their own terms, guided by trained animal care staff throughout.
Then you move to the crocodile enclosure. You view the baby crocs and the juvenile saltwater crocodiles from the platform before stepping into the water to come face to face with Rocksteady, a 4.8 metre, 800 kilogram saltwater crocodile, with only a thick glass panel between you in the same circulating water.
The full Mega Ticket to Port Stephens Animal Adventures next door is included, giving you all day access to the aquarium, reptile encounters, the Macaw experience, turtle feeding and the farmyard. Two tubs of shark and ray food, a souvenir and underwater footage uploaded to the cloud after your visit are all included.

We can highly recommend Port stephens Animal Adventures for anyone travelling that way. We had such a magical time. If you enjoy spending time with wildlife - this is the place for you. We ended up staying for 2.5hrs once the kids started to sit and enjoy the interactions. The kids learned how to be patient and still to earn the trust of the rays and sharks and they were rewarded for it. We also got to see and touch a number of lovely reptiles too. I saw a few negative reviews fearing the animals might be scared and that the enclosures were not good enough. But the animals came out from their hideaways to interect with us even when we didnt offer food. They were curious and social and happy to coast around us. The staff also clearly love their animals and know them well. And the price made it affordable for us to do it. Part of me wanted to keep this place secret... but thats selfish. Do yourself a favour, pack your cosies and get in the water with these beautiful creatures. (Adults too!) (P.S. it is indoors so can be an any weather activity)

The staff were super friendly to both us and my children. Got to swim and pat Sting rays and sharks, they had sharks (believe it or all in all I highly recommend to go check it out if you are in Port Stephens..

We visited this place 5 years ago! It was so good to finally have the chance to come back. Our four year old loved it, the workers are very kind! We got to hold there beautiful snakes. Some people might disagree but I think it is a nice little place to visit!! It is a little expensive but that is to be expected!! You don’t have to worry about bumping shoulders with anyone which is great ! We also got to see the new croc enclosure and the turtles which was pretty cool :) will definitely be coming back :) Thankyou all for a great experience.

Nothing rescue here! Just sad sharks and rays in tiny tanks, the goats look at you asking for help escaping and the parrots kept fighting in such a tiny enclosed space. Not sure where they even keep their croc but I doubt that has much room either. Genuinely felt guilty for spending money on entry walking around the place - the poor animals deserve better lives than living in those tiny dingy tanks! I wouldn’t normally leave a bad review for somewhere I didn’t enjoy but in this case I feel so bad for the animals I have to warn anyone else! If you want to see kids poking sharks and rays with sticks in tiny tanks this is the place for you

Brought the family here while on our Port Stephans holiday and it was pretty good. The staff were super friendly to both us and my children. Got to swim and pat Sting rays and sharks, they had an eel tank and turtles and coi fish as well. We got to hang out with Macaws as well, although they were not as friendly as the sharks (believe it or not). All the sea animals came up for a pat and none had bitten us as you feed with a stick not your hands.. all in all I highly recommend to go check it out if you are in Port Stephens..
