Salty Girls Surf School is Australia's original all-female surf school, founded in 2007 on the beautiful Tweed Coast of Northern NSW. Based around Cabarita Beach and Hastings Point, Salty Girls offers fun, safe and supportive surf experiences for women, girls and teens of all abilities.
From first-time surfers to those looking to improve their skills, our professional female coaches combine expert surf instruction with ocean safety, confidence-building and plenty of fun. With group and private lessons, surf clinics and school-holiday programs, Salty Girls is all about getting people into the ocean, connecting with the community and creating unforgettable memories on the Tweed Coast.

My daughters just did the school holiday surf camp, and they absolutely loved it! Belen and Luisa are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also friendly, supportive, and genuinely caring. It was clear that they went out of their way to make every child feel comfortable and confident in the water. My daughters gained so much more than just surf skills; they built their confidence, made new friends, and had the best time. I can’t recommend Salty Girls highly enough.

Belén and Luisa are two amazing ladies. They created a beautiful, supportive environment for my daughters to experience and learn all about safety of surfing. Would definitely recommend this experience for beginner surfers and those who are looking in increase confidence in their surfing skills!

Salty Girls Surf School helped me turn my dream into a reality. I always wished that I could be out the back on a board and finally at 50 I have my own board and the confidence to go surfing, thanks to Salty Girls. Having expert tuition and female coaching and support made all the difference. I tell anyone that I know that is interested in learning to surf to go and get lessons, if you are lucky enough to be female, with Salty Girls. Learning to surf is about so much more than just being able to stand up on the board, its about learning to read the waves, understanding the conditions and the social rules, safety, paddling, getting out through the waves and more. Great for females of all ages, children through to elders, Salty Girls will look after you and make you feel great about your surfing journey. Learning to surf, or just to be out there in the waves, is great for your mental and physical health and can be life changing.

Belen and her team are amazing, just completed my second clinic here and will definitely be doing another! They have such amazing knowledge and helpful advice to help advance your surfing. I always feel safe and looked out for in the surf. To anyone thinking of starting surfing or looking to build their confidence Salty Girls is a must!

Whether you are a complete beginner, or just want to refine your surfing technique, Salty Girls is for you. The coaches work with you to build your confidence and skills, while creating a nurturing and positive environment both in and out of the water. My pre-teen daughter loves her group lessons and has improved so much in a short amount of time. I am also in a womens surf session group and it’s the highlight of my week. I cannot recommend this surf school highly enough.
