River and Rainforest Lunch Cruise
Tweed Eco Cruise’s River and Rainforest Cruise aboard the vintage river cruiser ‘The Golden Swan’ delivers an unforgettable 3-hour return trip journey along the Tweed River to the rainforest at Stott’s Island. Guests can relax while taking in the abundant nature that the region's river and mangrove system hold, whilst enjoying local Tweed Valley grown tea and roasted coffee served with a beautiful morning tea. The tour provides commentary where guests learn about the region's history, indigenous culture and Australia's world-class ecosystem that forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Gondwana Subtropical Rainforest. Enjoy a bird feeding experience with birds of prey (Eagles, Kites, Hawks) and pelicans at Stott’s Island nature reserve. A grazing board with 100 percent local produce tantalise your taste buds on the return journey and keep your eye out for a dolphin or two.
Bush Tucker and Crab Cruise
Come and explore Bundjalung Country on the Tweed River and Terranora Lakes, where this two-hour cruise on their purpose-built vessel will take you into the depths of nature. As you cruise by scenic waterways, oyster farms and rolling hills, they will share knowledge of flora and fauna from their first nations people, the Minyungbal Mob, with Eric from the Yolnju mob as your insightful guide. Enjoy a taste of bush tucker for morning or afternoon tea before trying the hands-on experiences. Roll up your pants and get your feet wet as you pump for Yabbies, cast a line and try your luck at fishing, and help pull up the crab pots and see the catch of the day. The person hiring the pontoon must be over the age of 21.

We joined the sunset cruise with Tweed Eco Cruises and had a wonderful experience. It was a beautiful afternoon from start to finish. The afternoon was calm and picturesque, with beautiful views along the river that only got better as the sun set. The cheese platter was fresh and generous, the cocktails were delicious, and everything felt well thought out and relaxed. The crew were welcoming, knowledgeable, and very professional, making the whole cruise feel effortless. It had such a great atmosphere for sharing a special moment, whether it was a celebration or just time well spent with good company. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the Tweed at its best. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike.

A wonderful lunch cruise. The Captain gave us a very i formative commentary and was a lovely friendly guy. We were greeted with morning tea and yummy banana cake. The cruise went all the way to Stott's island and we stopped to feed Pelicans, Kites and Terns - the Osprey didn't show today. And freshly prepared, all local lunch was exceptional! The large fresh prawns and oysters were delicious! Well done Melanie for your service and the knowledge of the birds for feed. We all thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would definitely recommend it.

We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary on the Tweed River and Rainforest Lunch Cruise in October and we had an amazing day. It was raining for most of it but that added a beautiful atmosphere. Eric nd Mel were amazing and we learnt so much about the river and area that we normally drive around. Lunch was delicious plenty of everything and I would recommend this company and cruise for anyone looking for a great day out on the water. My highlight was watching a dolphin riding back with us for over 10 min on the way back.

Had the best time on the tweed mud crab/yabbi catching cruise. Was a great experience with small children. The hosts Greg and Eric were fantastic, they had great knowledge and gave us some great external sight seeing places also! Would definitely recommend doing!!
