Special Surf Camps for young surf enthusiasts aged 8 to 13, the full-day Aloha Surf Camp provides an immersive experience with two surf sessions daily, morning tea and lunch, and exciting beach activities. Guided by amazing coaches, they're dedicated to delivering the ultimate surf adventure for everyone.

Surf Lesson
You’ll be greeted by friendly, experienced surf coaches. The instructor will then guide you through essential safety tips, like how to handle your board, read the waves, and avoid common pitfalls. On the sand, you’ll practice the fundamentals of surfing: how to lie on the board, paddle, and perform a "pop-up" to stand. The coaches use clear demonstrations and give you hands-on guidance to help you build confidence. When it’s time to hit the water, you’ll paddle out to the shallows where the instructors help position your board for the perfect wave. The thrill of catching your first wave is amazing. We aim to get you up and riding waves in your first lesson. With each wave, you’ll get better at balancing, paddling, and standing up. The coaches stay close by, cheering you on and providing personalised tips to improve your technique. It’s an experience that leaves you feeling energised, refreshed, and inspired to ride again.

My husband and I did a private lesson with Sasha yesterday. We've both been surfing 6mths - 1 year. Sasha was easily one of the best coaches I've ever had, he really watches what you're doing and identifies small tweaks that make a big difference to your surfing. Hubby was super stoked to catch so many more waves then usual. Thanks so much, we will be back 🙂

I have come to surfing late in life. I decided it was something to do when I turned 60 recently. I had 5 private lessons with Lincoln at Hastings Point with each lesson going for 1.5 hours. Hastings is a great spot to learn to surf. Lincoln was excellent. After working on my pop up with me on the sand it was straight into the water. Amazingly, I was standing from the get go. The boards they use are really bouyant which helps a lot. I received lots of advice and tips during each lesson. This is the value of a private lesson for me. Lincoln had the time to discuss what I had done after each wave. I feel like I’ve learnt so much. The experience has been better than I imagined. If you think you’re too old to take up surfing, think again. Provided your are reasonably fit and mobile, get on it. The team at Tweed Coast Surf School are fantastic. I highly recommend them.

My two sons who are 5 and 6 years old have just finished the SurfGrom four day program with Tweed Coast Surf School. Both boys managed to catch waves on their first day - neither have surfed previously. Kane their coach was sensational and really helped the boys so much and gave them great advice - both boys loved having Kane as their teacher. They have enjoyed their surf lessons so much we are heading back for two more days of private lessons before we fly home to Melbourne. Both boys agree that their surf lessons have been the highlight of their holiday. Thank you so much, especially to Kane - Harry and Finn will be back again surfing with you soon!

I can’t speak highly enough of Tweed Coast Surf School. My boys aged 8 and 11 have loved being part of their programs over the last couple of years. They have had so much fun learning to surf, but also how to safely enjoy our beautiful coastline. The staff are amazing, kind, patient and attentive to each student. I feel so comfortable and confident leaving them in their care. Highly recommend!!!
