Wine lovers and foodies will love Simmo's Food and Wine Safari - showcasing superb cool-climate wines and delightfully fresh produce of Orange, Bathurst and the Central West.
Simmo also provides fun and educational Scenic 4WD Tours across NSW including Hill End, Sofala, Ophir goldfields, Katoomba and the Blue Mountains, Abercrombie Caves, Jenolan Caves and Kanangra Boyd National Park.
Popular activities include bushwalking, wildlife photography, gold panning, trout fishing, mushroom collecting, swimming and kayaking.
For the truly adventurous Simmo provides fully-catered overnight Camping Adventures, where guests experience a night under the Southern Stars and enjoy wholesome campfire meals.
If camping is not your thing, Simmo has a range of extended 4WD safaris across NSW with pub stay, cabin and motel accommodation options.

Simmo's 4WD Tag-a-Long Tours
Simmo conducts regular four wheel drive tag-a-long tours across Central and Western New South Wales, with interesting destinations including the greater Blue Mountains, Hill End, Sofala, Jenolan Caves, Kanangra Boyd National Park, Abercrombie Caves, Abercrombie River National Park, the Warrumbungles and outback NSW. Simmo's four wheel drive tag-a-long tours are great for those that own a 4WD or AWD vehicle and are looking for an experienced local guide to show the way and offer guidance on how best to use a four wheel drive vehicle in real situations. Simmo runs a different Tag-a-Long Tour each month, ranging from easy to difficult, with optional tracks to suit your vehicle and experience. As well as visiting the choicest of wineries, guests may like to visit a boutique brewery, local distillery, cider producer or cheese maker. Simmo's Outback 4WD Safari
Simmo's Outback Four Wheel Drive Safari is an extended Four Wheel Drive Tag-a-ong Tour showcasing the very best of country NSW, from Katoomba, to the Warrumbungles, Lightning Ridge and beyond! Graded as an easy to medium grade Tag-a-Long Tour, it is suited for both Four Wheel Drive and AWD vehicles. Highlights of this extended 4WD Tour include Katoomba and the majestic Blue Mountains, the goldfields of Hill End and Sofala, boutique wines of Mudgee, Aboriginal rock art of the Warrumbungles, Outback sculptures of the Pilliga, Black Opal Mining at Lightning Ridge, birdlife of the Macquarie Marshes and an African Safari at Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.

The intermediate to difficult tour through the Turon National Park and Sunny Corner was our first tag along Tour with Simmo and we had an absolutely amazing time! Simmo is a great tour guide!! He is very informative and encouraging, even though we are not new to 4WDing we learnt new skills and really saw what our 4WD is capable of. The BBQ lunch was a winner, best potato salad I have had!! We will certainly be joining another tour in the future. Thank you Simmo, it was a pleasure!

An Unforgettable Family Trip with Simmo’s Tours! Lightning Ridge was one of the best trips we’ve ever done as a family! Without hesitation, I can absolutely recommend Simmo and his tours. Each day was thoughtfully planned, with unique experiences and activities that you simply wouldn’t get without being part of his tour. We were able to explore parts of Australia we otherwise may never have seen. From the incredible stops and activities to the fun, laughter, and great company, everything about the tour was excellent. Simmo’s passion and attention to detail made it truly unforgettable.

More updates!!! We recently went on an incredible trip to Lightening Ridge with Simmo’s Off-Road Tours, and it was honestly one of the best travel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything was taken care of, fully catered meals, exceptional accommodation, and a jam-packed itinerary that gave us a true taste of the outback. We visited working opal mines, explored cattle farms, and even got a behind-the-scenes look at opal carving, a real treat! One of the highlights was cuddling the emus and farm animals, which was just as fun for the adults as it was for the kids. The 4WD mud tracks were a blast, a bit of adrenaline, a lot of laughs, and some unforgettable stories to take home. Every evening brought us together with our new travel mates to share stories and enjoy those breathtaking outback sunsetsWe truly made lifelong friends on this tour and were able to catch up with old friends we have made on other tours we have attended with Simmo. That’s right, I think we have been on about 10 trips now and had nothing but a blast every single trip. We even do the same spots sometimes because it’s always new and fresh and exciting, you just never know what will happen, especially in the outback! What an adventure!! Simmo himself is the heart and soul of the whole experience. He goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, safe, and entertained. His passion for the land, the communities we travel in, and his guests shines through in every part of the tour, his extra time, care and attention to our family who is having significant challenges was so greatly appreciated, he facilitated lifelong meaningful moments we will cherish forever. Just completed the Mudgee meandering tour. Margy and my first attempt at 4x4. Had a great time. Huge fun watching the Norwegian boys getting bogged. We look forward to more of Simmo’s tag along tours.
