Cunjurong Point Beach leads out to Green Island, a famous surfing spot popular with local longboarders. The beach also leads to the mouth of Lake Conjola.
Explore on foot from Manyana or from the cliff top car parks on the point. Please respect surfing etiquette and exercise caution if you choose to surf or swim here as currents can be strong.

This is an amazing beach that you can walk through to Manyana Beach from here. This is a great beach for little ones to swim in either with the lake flowing into the ocean or in the ocean for the bigger people.

Still on Yuin Country, a mere few hundred metres across the way from Lake Conjola as the seagull flies, but half an hour by car, Cunjurong Point is a weirdly alien, liminal space. With shifting sands and counterintuitive currents, the edges between water, rocks, sand and sky are less distinct here. The different states of matter all blur at the transitions.
Strangely beautiful and beautifully strange, there’s shallower and deeper spots to swim in, with jarringly functional facilities including an outdoor shower and parking just near the disused boat ramp. It’s like swimming in a JG Ballard short story. I am somewhat lost for words.

Did you know Cunjurong Beach has an unusual layout with waves heading in two directions, from south and east, and meet at the sand and rock causeway to Green Island? Then again, there's many other delights, like rock platforms with living pools, the rockiest island around, snorkelling, and big stretches of beach sand. The waves are good and on an average day not so treacherous, but watch out for rips. And then, with Conjola Lake estuary barred by a sand bern, its possible to walk forever along Conjola Beach. It's a winner.

Hyams & Greenfield will always be the mainstay for visitors, but Conjurong is a hidden gem.
Atop the sand dunes are unspoilt views of the sunset which gracefully recedes behind the mountain range.
The iridescence seen here during blue-hour is breathtaking to say the least!
I suggest this as anyone's first pick when going to Jervis Bay, before checking out the more well-known Hyams.

Love this spot. A quiet little place where you can really relax away from the crowd. The kids can ride their bikes everywhere as there's no traffic, and there's plenty of wildlife here. Beach is great, and the lake is perfect for swimming with the kids. Fun to go out to the island on low tide.
