Coachstop Caravan Park

My partner and I booked in for two nights but as we drove through the gate we knew our stay wouldn't last long. We still checked in and went to our cabin, but as we drove around to our cabin and got inside we had a look around and it was very dusty and very dirty on the windows the room just seemed very unclean and uninviting. The A/C filters looked as tho they hadn't been cleaned in years, dust came off the bed cover when it was hit, the outside of the cabins could of done with a wash down, even the office was dusty and dirty. We were there for ten minutes hadn't even unpacked the car and we decided to leave. My partner use to stay there back in the 80's and he said the grounds and the caravan's and cabins were much better maintained back then.

Absolutely Horrible Experience. Do Not Recommend. This was by far the worst place we have ever stayed and I would not recommend it to anyone especially families. Starting with the rooms they were filthy. There was visible mould dead bugs everywhere dirt on the floors and even previous guests hair on the pillows and beds. It was clear the rooms had not been cleaned properly if at all. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. There were no activities at all. Nothing was provided or suggested and we were left to work everything out ourselves. Because there was nothing for the kids to do they played quietly on the grass area while we sat right there watching them. Even then the owners constantly told us to watch our kids despite us already doing so. The owners behaviour made the experience extremely uncomfortable especially one lady. She kept walking around us staring and making comments. At one point she acted as if we were laughing at her which we absolutely were not. We were simply laughing and enjoying time with our family. The owners were never friendly from the beginning and clearly did not know how to interact with guests or allow people to relax and have fun. This same lady also kept saying that she knew what we were saying even though we are Afghan and she clearly does not understand our language. This made us feel watched targeted and very uncomfortable the entire time. Safety was a major concern. We booked for two nights but left the afternoon after the first night because we did not feel safe at all. The place felt off from the moment we arrived and it only got worse. Our kids kept coming to us saying that a lady was telling them off. The aggressive tone constant swearing and hostile behaviour from the owners made this place feel far from family friendly. We were not loud or disruptive at any point. We went to sleep early around 9 pm and woke up around 7 am as we are not from the area and wanted to go out and visit nearby places. Despite this we were still treated poorly. They also offered expired milk which is completely unacceptable. When we asked for the WiFi password they refused and kept making excuses. When another family friend asked separately they were given a different excuse. This felt dishonest and targeted. Six families travelled together for this holiday and every single family experienced the same treatment. We genuinely felt we were treated differently because of our ethnic background and the overall behaviour came across as racist. We had enough after the first night and left the next afternoon because we did not feel safe welcome or respected. This place is dirty uncomfortable hostile and not suitable for families at all. Save your money and your peace. Do not stay here.

I do not and will not ever recommend this place to anyone. We called to book one of the family cabins available to which we were advised of the 2 bedrooms and bath as part of the cabin. Upon arriving, the cabin was not 2 bedrooms (only 1), there was no bath and the bunk beds were in the hallway. THEY CHARGED US FOR A FAMILY CABIN WHICH WE DID NOT GET AND WE HAVE REQUESTED A REFUND WHICH HAS BEEN IGNORED. We did not end up staying here and resorted to finding alternative accommodation elsewhere. It was not as advertised, it was not clean and overall such a terrible terrible experience. Please stay away.

We stayed in Cabin. Paid for Basic family cabin but was put in 2A that contained 1 bed. A young teen gave us our envelope with key when we arrived at 5.45pm and disappeared. No ID checked etc. So we could not let anyone know the following. There was cochroaches crawling in the cabin. It was not cleaned at all. The milk container in the fridge was open and not a fresh one. The crockery was cracked. The tiny cabin smelled bad. Advertised as family cabin with double bed and bunks. There was no bunks at all. There was a double bed, with a sheet and thin throw over. This was "the linen" supplied. We froze as the heater/air-conditioning could go on as it was filthy and I did not need an asthma attack on top of the bad time we were already having. The enstuite was so small, a bigger person would not fit in it. Upon exiting this morning I wanted to make a complaint about all this and more only the office was closed still and you had to toss you key in a lock box without seeing anyone. 110% would not recommend this place to anyone ever.
