Contained in Nimbin Accommodation offers two private and fully self-contained cottages that are located just a short three-minute drive to the historic and unique village of Nimbin in New South Wales. The Eco-sensitive cottages are situated on a ten-acre self-sufficient permaculture farm, on the banks of the pristine Goolmangar Creek.
Both Wollumbin and Nightcap Cottage provide vistas of rainforest, rural farmlands, a permaculture farm and friendly cows. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, living space and dining area, bedroom with private en-suite, flushing toilet and shower.
The cottages accommodate up to two guests with a queen-sized bed made from sustainably sourced timber, with beautiful bamboo linen supplied. The cottages are super insulated and come with reverse-cycle air-conditioning and ceiling fans. There is also an undercover sustainably sourced hardwood deck with a lounge and barbecue that you can relax on while taking in the views and enjoying the bird song.
Both cottages have also been designed and built with a focus on reducing their impact on the environment. The cottages have a five-star building sustainability index rating, solar hot water and are powered by solar.
Contained In Nimbin is a one-hour drive from Byron/ Ballina Airport and one hour and 50 minutes from the Gold Coast, QLD.

Absolutely loved staying here! Such a well fitted out cabin with every amenity you need for a relaxing getaway. Met Nicole one of the owners who was so lovely. She includes a cabinet in the cabin where you can purchase local jewellery, art and accessories which was a great touch. Great location only 5mins from town. Perfect spot to look up at the stars at night while enjoying some Nimbin street food 🍃

The property is stunning. Its private peaceful place to totally relax . Unfortunely there was no hot water and for the price we paid at $260 a night that is not good enough. I even tried to contact them to find out why we have no hot water and also leaving a message for them to contact me asap but got no call back . Was not happy as we had arrangement for dinner and could not shower after a long day. Changed our mood from excited and romantic to dissatisfied and uncomfortable.

We traveled from Brisbane for an overnight get away to Contained in Nimbin. It did not disappoint. A lovely oasis nestled in the valley with mountain views. A quaint creek runs through the property and there is a nice little orchard you can walk through. Peace, quiet and tranquility with the wallabies grazing and Kookaburras in the trees. The accommodation was outstanding with quality furnishings and inclusions. The owner Nicole is very kind and accommodating. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend to everyone!

We loved this accomodation. It’s so peaceful and relaxing. The house feels like home. It’s cozy and it seems like the owners thought about every single details. Talking about the owners, they are really nice people. Allowed us to explore the creek and their gardens

We very much enjoyed our long weekend here! The accomodation was very comfortable. The hosts’ attention to details was evident. The area was beautiful with numerous hiking trails and waterfalls. Having a drink by the fire and enjoying the stars overnight was also a highlight. It’s a beautiful corner of the world and Contained in Nimbin was a great base to enjoy it from. Highly recommend!
