Discovery Parks - Emerald Beach

Highly recommend staying here. Emerald Beach is such a cute town and the Discovery Park is so nice to stay in! Staff were lovely and accomodating. We were camping on an unpowered site and were given flexibility of which site we wanted to stay on. The amenities were pristine and nice too. Our favourite stop on the trip! Don’t forget to wake up at sunrise to see the kangaroos on the Look at Me Now Headland. :)

Highly recommend staying here. Emerald Beach is such a cute town and the Discovery Park is so nice to stay in! Staff were lovely, we had a powersite with ensuite it was great. Close to beach, food shop and headlands. From Headlands we saw whales, pods of dolphins and kangaroos amazing stay.

We recently stayed at Emerald Beach for 3 nights and absolutely loved our experience. I can honestly say I’ve never stayed anywhere so clean — the entire park was immaculate. You can tell the team really takes pride in keeping everything spotless. The staff were so warm and welcoming, which made the whole stay feel even more relaxing from the moment we arrived. The kids had the best time! The splash pad was such a hit, and the pool was beautiful and warm — perfect for families. We stayed in a standard cabin. While it is a little outdated and could use a bit of TLC, it was incredibly clean, which matters most to me. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed for our stay — even little thoughtful touches like foil trays for the BBQ and salt and pepper. Walking into the cabin with the air conditioning already on for us was such a lovely touch. We truly had the best stay and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us! 💛

I hate posting negative reviews, but I had to this time. We had booked a site for our motorhome, and had asked to be close to the amenities, with a water view if possible. When we booked, we also gave the dimensions of our motorhome. When we got to our site we found that it was rather small. There were large puddles all around. The corner was truncated, so that the only way we could keep the front corner of the motorhome off the road, was to have our rear overhanging the block behind us. As there were a number of other unoccupied sites, we rang to see if they would move us to another site. We were told that we would have to pay extra. They sent someone down to have a look. When he arrived, he agreed that the site was very tight, and that our front corner was very near the road. Hoverer, he told us not to worry, as the caravan park was not at all busy, so there was a low risk of being hit by someone going around the corner. As mentioned previously, it had rained, and there were large puddles on and around our site. This was due to problems with storm water in that part of the caravan park. I don't know how the other parts were faring. I know that I asked for water views, but I did not expect a lake between our site and the amenities block. While I was connecting up the water and power to our van, I had to wade through ankel deep water. It was not until the following morning that I realise how lucky it was that I had kept my thongs on. It turned out that there was a drainage grate in the middle of the muddy puddle. I am sure that I would have injured my feet if I had stood on it barefoot. Emerald beach is beautiful, and apart from the stormwater drainage issues, which I was told were going to be improved, the caravan park itself is not bad. However, our experience with the service that we received was very poor. This was all the more disappointing, given that we are G'day members, and this park is affiliated with G'day parks.
