We stayed in a powered site off season (May) and were upgraded to a free ensuite given the forecast for lots of rain. Luckily it didn’t rain too much and we were able to enjoy the area. The caravan park has lots of permanents and some cabins but few were filled, even on the weekend. The park is beautifully kept, amenities clean, staff friendly, and very quiet. There are kids activities like jumping castle, playground, tennis and pool, but we are grey nomads, so not for us. There is a fabulous cafe next door open until 2pm with added wood fire pizza dinners on Fridays; and a pop up Japanese food truck nearby Thurs - Sunday with yummy food. We really appreciated the upgrade, and if you like a quiet spot with nice walks and good food, then this might be for you.
Rooms of 4star as we stayed in a tent. We enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Park. The location is fantastic, being very close to Jervis Bay. It is situated off a main road on a street with only one entry/exit point. Since we were staying in a tent, we did notice some road noise during the day, but it was quiet and peaceful at night. The park facilities are generally good overall. The camp kitchen is a bit outdated and the equipment isn't the most modern, but it is definitely functional and gets the job done. For kids, it has jumping pillow, swimming pool, and the small playground with swings. One thing to note is that a large portion of the park is dedicated to permanent sites, with only a smaller section reserved for powered sites (tents and caravans).
Stayed for 2 days loved the location of the park from the park ypu can go to Bendalong Hymes all within 40 minutes drive. Exceptionaly clean cottages and to engage the kids swimming pool playarea was there . Next time I will be going for a week. Park is no smoking zone which was perfect . Lake just few steps away .PERFECT place for relaxing. I arrived in the park 2 hrs before check in however the staff let me check in with a smile 😃. You guys are doing amazing work down there .Thankyou.
The park was fine then we had an electrical fault happen in our van which threatened to cut short our holiday if not fixed. The park office staff we aware of this and tried to assist (gave us a couple of mobile technicians to call) then not long after informed us we had actually set up on the wrong lot. This was quite a surprise since we carefully had studied the map. Also we looked and looked for a lot number and as there was none, concluded "this must be it." When advised of this the manager", informed me the lot number is on the electric outlet pole. I advised I didn't find it. She replied sometimes they're under the flap. I asked her to show me as I'd looked there as well. She looked and agreed there was in fact NO number. I agreed we misread the map but surely you can see if we'd seen the incorrect number we would never have set up here in the first place. She was not apologetic at all but did admit to it being partially their fault. They hurriedly wrote the lot number on the pole in thin texta. Then her associate admonished us for not having our well behaved little dog on leash. This did not seem considerate of older citizens already being stressed out. At my request, (not her suggestion) I asked her to appeal to the people who had pre-booked the lot we were on if they would consider swapping. The park manager did not ever canvas the possibility that being partially their fault (no lot number) they were partially obligated to resolve the problem. One wonders if the reasonable pre-booked clients had said "No"? We doubt we'd return to this particular park.
We were clearly told at the time of booking that dogs were allowed. After travelling over 200 km and having our campsite fully set up, we were approached at 10 pm by “security” and told we could be kicked out for having a dog. The next morning, the manager was dismissive and arrogant, overruled the staff member who gave us permission, and told us to remove our dogs or leave. He claimed we were the only ones with dogs — which was clearly untrue, as we saw several others in the campground. We were forced to find alternative dog-friendly accommodation and lost half our holiday. The refund did not come close to compensating for the time, stress, or disruption. Poor communication and unacceptable customer service. Won’t be returning
