Hunter Valley Lodge and Retreat

I had a fantastic stay here over the weekend. The place was spotless, well-presented, and exactly as described. Check-in was smooth and the host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The location was perfect — close to everything I needed but still quiet and relaxing. The space had all the small touches that make a stay comfortable, and the bed was super comfortable after long days out. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again.

What a find! We booked the entire property to bring all the family together to celebrate a milestone birthday and we all had a wonderful time. Our ages were ranging from small children to seniors - the property had areas that catered so well for this. Everyone had somewhere to sit quietly and relax or play games or run around, not to mention the games room, hot tub and pool. The cooking facilities were brilliant with access to large BBQ's and a commercial kitchen that Hunter Valley Caterers were able to use to seamlessly cook beautiful food for 25 adults. The dining room was big enough to seat us all comfortably and we just had the best time being together. We all thoroughly enjoyed our weekend and created many treasured memories.

Gorgeous venue. So much to do on the property alone, there is no need to go anywhere. Our guests had the best time. The kids loved the cubby house and games room. Venue was big enough to accomodate everyone without feeling crammed in. Can't wait to go back!

Our group (20 people) stayed here for a fabulous 4 day golf weekend. From the moment we arrived we knew we were in for something special. The Lodge combines rugged charm with luxurious comfort..a very unique place showcasing superb accommodation with very comfy beds and beautiful linen. Think crackling fires, rich timber interiors and oversized leather seating which entices a glass of wine (or two) to unwind after a busy day. While the lodge pays homage to traditional hunting culture - taxidermy and rustic decor—it still offered every modern convenience. The gourmet kitchen, hot tub under the stars, and high-end finishes made it feel like a five-star wilderness retreat. Each morning we woke to the sounds of nature, mist and animals grazing nearby. Whether we were sitting on the porch with coffee in hand or exploring the nearby trails, the serenity of the place stayed with us. What a wonderful experience. A perfect balance of wild and refined. We left feeling relaxed, recharged, and already planning our next visit. ⸻
