The location is very secluded. Each cottage is hidden from the others. Cottage was very well equipped. We appreciated the welcome basket in the fridge with plenty of goodies for our first breakfast. The hot tub on the deck is a really nice touch and like everything else, was very clean. The pool was sparkling clean and very relaxing. The games room was well equipped and everything was in very good condition. A hint for driving there - your GPS might suggest turning onto Beach Road. That's fine if you're in a 4WD. Otherwise, wait until you reach Sandridge Road, and turn there - you'll dodge less potholes. Our phones are on the Telstra network and could not make calls from inside the cottage, but could call out using VoWiFi. There was a wall phone in the cottage, but the receiver was missing. We were the only people there for the first few nights, and we didn't see Steve or Fadia whilst there. When we needed a replacement hair dryer at 9:30pm, we were told someone would bring one to us the next day. So, the seclusion had a minor downside too. Plenty of birdsong during the day, and flying foxes at night. We saw a couple of red-bellied black snakes at Manning Point, but none on the retreat property, which has well-maintained walking paths. From day one, we started to kill about ten small cockroaches each day around the kitchen sink and dishwasher, so some baits or surface spray are probably in order. The screens worked very well to keep out the mossies. The only other minor issue is that we couldn't figure out how to turn on the 'bunker' style lights around the verandahs. The back verandah only had one small light working, and it was quite dark at night if we wanted to eat there.
