I recently stayed at the Metro Apartments on Darling Harbour, and if you are looking for convenience and a "home away from home" feel, this is a fantastic choice. The Highlights: • Location, Location, Location: You are literally steps away from Darling Harbour, the Sea Life Aquarium, and King Street Wharf. It’s also an easy walk to Wynyard Station and the CBD. • The View: We stayed in one of the loft-style apartments, and the view of the harbor was stunning, especially at night. • Spaciousness: Unlike cramped hotel rooms, having a separate living area and a small kitchenette made the stay much more comfortable for a multi-day trip. • Value: For this part of Sydney, the price point is very competitive. • Service: A shutout to Zach, who was really nice and helpful. A Few Things to Note: • The Vibe: The building is a bit older and has more of a residential/apartment feel rather than a luxury hotel. If you’re looking for a 24/7 concierge and a fancy lobby, this might feel a bit basic. • Street Noise: Being so central, there is city noise, but that’s to be expected in the heart of Sydney. • There are stairs to get into the building and of course in the apartment Overall: It’s reliable,” and perfectly located base for exploring the city. I would definitely stay here again for the convenience alone.
