I spent the last weekend at this park staying on a powered site with my motorhome. The area we were allotted was barren. Not a single bit of nice grass anywhere to be seen, nor a single tree. OK so I guess you can't have everything but the site I was staying on was nothing but a danger! There were about six different levels to the whole area, most of which had been unsuccessfully hidden by very old, rotting fake turf. The levels in themselves were a danger but then there were the tiled areas' outside my van, broken, sharp, dangerous tiles just left there. I did spend a fair amount of time in the pool which was great but the tiles around the top of the pool obviously hadn't been cleaned in years. The grime was visible. I had a friend purchase a 1 litre UHT milk for $4 one day at the parks kiosk, the very next day another friend purchased the exact same milk for $6! I drove around like an idiot looking for the dump point which was no where to been seen. No bright blue sign but a grey sign that blended in with the fence, also the bins were that hidden that unless you were a male heading into the male amenities you wouldn't know they were there.
We initially has problems with our booking, as there were 3 families of differing peoples. There were also problems with the guests details. It eventually got sorted. The sites are mainly blue metal with cement slabs- some of which are uneven or a little damaged. They are extremely tight to get into, it was lucky we arrived early. 2 of us having longer vans would have struggled somewhat to reverse into. The internal streets are one way and again, quite narrow. There is a lots of spare parking on the street. There is 1 car space per site or cabin. There are 2 swimming pools and a tiny pool on the side of the 2nd pool. There is a a shallow end with mushroom water falls, a games room, tennis court and a jumping pillow. Directly across the road is a boat ramp and parking. It's about 4km to Yarrawonga CBD and the foreshore. The below is NOT a reflection on the park but the guets. Lots of parents allowing unsupervised kids on scooters and pushies to ride all over, which is an accident waiting to happen. The park was quiet and clean for our first few days, then unfortunately it changed. Some of the late arrivals really changed the atmosphere. Very loud, swearing, loud music until 11.30pm and disrespecting the amenities. The staff did clean and I did feel sorry for them. It was an NRMA park, but has recently been sold and is now independent.
Nice and quiet and right next to the lake for anyone into fishing. We stayed in powered site with our 22’6” van. Some sites are tight to get into but overall a nice park to visit. Helpful staff and only a short drive to town. Local bakery is great but had funny hours. We went there at 3pm to find them closed. Plenty of shops and eateries in Yarrawonga though over the bridge.
Absolutely loved our stay here. We had a powered site with our camper trailer, which had ample shade and near the camp kitchen, games room. A little bit of a walk to the facilities but there was a toilet in the games room which our kids could use during the day which made it easier. The pools are absolutely stunning! There is a playground and jumping pillow all together, so plenty of things to entertain the kids. Reception staff were lovely and shared local insights in regards to food and things to do. The cabins all seemed to have their own bbq outside too. Boat ramp and lake access across the road, fantastic playground with slides, flying fox and old train engine down the road, easy drive to shops and ski club. Will definitely stay here again.
What a great place to stay. The facilities were fantastic. The staff were SUPER FRIENDLY AND VERY PROFESSIONAL IN AN AUSSIE LAID BACK WAY. Which made the stay greater. Had a ball. Fully recommend this place to anyone. Well done Shandell, Nick and Nick Noo.
