Red Door Collective

What can we say we loved our stay at the red door collective. Both Evelyn and Stuart the hosts are such wonderful people and their vision to give back is amazing. The space they have created is to kick back relax and enjoy all the hunter has to offer. Evelyn is a great cook, breakfast amazing and Stuart the barrister goes well too! We ordered a cheese board to our room when we arrived which was lovely with a bottle of their wine. We thank you both for such a wonderful experience and we WILL be back xx

My partner and I stayed here for a weekend away and it was honestly the best stay we’ve ever had. The rooms, hospitality and location were all perfect. The key points of attraction was: - fresh food ingredients, cooked with pure love - the coffee was one of the best in the area - the host were just personable and could easily have a nice warming conversation. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was everything we wanted - to surprise my boyfriend to his birthday, we were surprised with a nice set up and balloons 🎈 we weren’t expecting this at all! Could not recommend this place enough and we look back to visiting our new family again ☺️

Evelyn and Stuart's hospitality was absolutely wonderful. They are a very interesting couple who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our stay with them and in the Hunter Valley more broadly. We (two couples) stayed for four nights to celebrate our husband's 60th birthdays. Semillon Cottage was beautifully presented and sparkling clean. We made good use of the wood burner stove in the evenings too (we stayed in mid-August). Evelyn's breakfasts were outstanding and she kindly cooked for us one evening, which was a real treat. Stuart knows how to make great coffee (we are coffee snobs). RDC's wines were some of the nicest we had during our time in the Hunter and, as we liked them so much, we have joined the RDC Inner Circle wine club. Even if you're not staying with them, it's a must visit vineyard for a tasting. More than anything, Evelyn and Stuart are consummate hosts, doing something they both love. We hope to return another time.

We stopped by Red Door Collective yesterday on our way back to Sydney, not realising they’re only open Friday to Sunday, and yet Evelyna and Stewart still opened the door and welcomed us in with the kindest hospitality. They’re such a lovely couple, having swapped their corporate lives to create truly beautiful wines and a space that feels so genuine and warm. The kind of people who remind you why the Hunter is so special. Even though we couldn’t stay long (we had a car full of meat and it was a scorcher outside 😅), we left wishing we had more time to chat. You can feel the passion they put into every detail and it’s no wonder they’re rated No.1 on Klook! Thank you, Evelyna and Stewart, for being so gracious and kind. We can’t wait to come back properly next time. ❤️🍷
