Restdown Cottages

Overlooking the beautiful farmland of ‘Restdown’ Eglinton, are self-contained Nilgiri Cottage and Shearer’s Cottage. Each cottage boasts original features and charming gardens just 12 kilometres from the centre of Bathurst.

Nilgiri Cottage has many of its original features, including high ceilings, pressed tin walls and simple farmhouse kitchen with a reverse cycle A/C installed in the main living room. Small electric heaters are available for the bedrooms. Fluffy doonas and electric blankets are on the King and Queen bed in the main bedrooms.

Shearer’s Cottage offers guests the cottage, it’s garden and the area out the front of the cottage near the apple trees and old phone booth, as well as the rear garden with beautiful views over farmland. (Access to the whole farm is not part of booking either Cottage.)
