The Salty Dog

The Salty Dog is a floating haven off the shore of Newport, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. This wooden boathouse built for two invites you to go off-grid, relax and reconnect with mother nature. The Salty Dog features a loft bedroom with a queen bed and luxurious flax linen bedding. There is also a casual space under the large opening skylight window with beanbags upstairs where you can read, play games or just relax.

Downstairs, there's a bathroom and a combined lounge, dining and kitchen space, with windows all around so you really get a sense of being on a boat on the water. A continental breakfast hamper is included in your booking. Outside, there's a ladder for easy access straight into the water, a dinghy with oars and an outdoor hot/cold shower for post-swim use. Please note there is no 240V power on board, only a 12V system with three USB charging points.
