Fossicker Caravan Park features an on-site Fossicking Park, offering visitors the chance to find their fortune in Glen Innes. Whether passing through or staying in Glen Innes, you can try your luck at discovering sapphires and gemstones.
Begin your adventure by watching a DVD that explains how to fossick. Then, purchase a bag of gemstone wash, which guarantees at least 10 gems per bag. Head down to the fossicking park to search for your treasures. The park provides sieves, tweezers, and a bag for your finds, ensuring great fun for everyone, especially the kids who will love this dirty yet thrilling activity.
The small fossicking park, located in town, has limited capacity, so it’s best to come prepared. Bring sunscreen, and a hat, and wear suitable footwear, as all necessary equipment is supplied.

If I could give a zero rating I would. We took a car group there for the weekend. Therefore pumped a lot of money into their business. Not only did they double book 2 units and left a group of 5 out in the cold but then had the nerve to want to charge us extra just to park trailers while we looked for alternative accommodation. Another couple paid for an ensuite site but had to cancel. They refused to refund their $60 refund because they wanted 30 days notice of cancellation. No apologies given, very poor customer service. Facilities are average. Owners obviously only in the business for whatever $$$ they can rip off potential customers. Even some of the locals told us to stay clear.
Just be aware The guy ar the counter on arrival wasn't compromising to my refund when I told him that I had to cancel my 3rd nights stay in the supposedly deluxe unit due to a family medical event that Iwas notified on my way to Glen Innes from Brisbane. . No refund under 30 days notice he said. $155 gone 😡 The deluxe unit built in the 60s, bed is terrible as you feel every spring, facilities need attention taps don't work properly and I would rate the room a reluctant 1 stars out of 5. This review has no reflection on the nonrefundable supposed policy.
Unable to stay due to family illness, despite one month’s notice refused any deposit refund. Robbery, very poor customer service. Beware. Thank for the reply, unfortunately in these times it’s difficult to see you charge $200 for a booking cancellation one month before the booking. Good money for 5 minute booking on the phone and now it’s booked to someone else. If you consider that good business it’s a shame. Customer service zero. Aa a Gday member I’m astonished at you action and your attitude.
We stayed in a cabin. Self contained with stove top, sink and microwave. Included basic cutlery and plates, saucers, pots and pan and glasses. Great for families up to 8. Bathroom in cabin with toilet, shower and vanity. There are gas bbq facilities and kitchen included at the share kitchen. Laundry facilities at $4 a load and same for dryer. Quiet by about 9pm latest. Seperate shower and toilet facilities also provided.
Room was clean and tidy, facilities in the park was really good. Staff was friendly and very polite. I will definitely come back!
