What a lovely stay at Wollemi Ridge retreats. I stayed in the fancy tent which was decked out with a comfy bed, lamps, fairy lights and a view to the bush. It was a hot day, but the tent was beautiful and cool in the evening and I managed to sleep in which was well needed. The communal kitchen living space is great with a full kitchen, working fridge (to keep the beers and fruit cold) and lots of seating. My favourite part was drinking my coffee in the morning listening to the black cockatoos and soaking up the beauty of the bush. While I was there, the wonderful hosts, Sally and Chris, were setting up a natural pool area in amongst the trees. I can’t wait to return to see it completed and have a swim. Wollemi Ridge retreats really is a little oasis just outside of sydney.
We had a wonderful few days here and felt very nurtured by Sally and Chris’ very thoughtful planning for our visit. Their glow worm tour is an unmissable experience - totally recommended as one of the best wildlife experiences of my life where we saw fireflies, a large mountain yabby and a sugar glider as well as a 360* experience of the glow worms. We loved hiking with Sally and Chris who opened our eyes to what we were seeing - all sorts of interesting things in nature as well as a couple of amazing (!) special places. Sleeping in the glamping tent was blissful and the all-glass- walls common house was a wonderful place to spend time looking at the forest and napping. Thank you for feeding us so well, Chris! It was lovely to spend time with you both over meals. The hot showers were amazing and everything was impeccably clean.
We had the best few days at Wollemi Ridge Retreat. Sal and Chris are the perfect and most caring of hosts. They shared their passion for the area and the environment and could not do enough to make sure we had the best time while we were there!. We stayed in the bunkbeds in September and they were super comfortable, cosy and more than warm enough. Falling asleep to the sounds of the bush was very dreamy. A few highlights were our amazing bush walk with a beautiful waterfall and pool to swim in, cooking outdoors and seeing the glowworms down at the gully! Could not recommend staying here enough.
What a wonderful time we had in Wollemi Ridge Rereats. Sal and Chris couldn't have been more helpful and caring during our trip there. We were guided through an all-day hike, set up with a brilliant outdoor firepit, taken on a tour of the local glow-worms rare to the area and supplied with all we needed for outdoor sleeping which was a lovely experience. Incredible hosts who catered to our (surely) many Pom needs! Highly recommended!
Safe to say Chris and Sal have absolutely nailed this place. Off the beaten track with an emphasis on nature there’s loads to do, hiking, outdoor cooking, meet the local wildlife- and some properly comfy digs 👌. Me and a few mates had a great getaway here mid September and can’t recommend enough, an absolute labour of love, get involved!
