Montague Island Adventures and Charter Fish Narooma

I infrequently provide one-star reviews; however, my experience with this business has been exceptionally disappointing. There appears to be a significant disconnect between the owner and the individual responsible for bookings, leading to inconsistent communication and a lack of honesty. We contacted the business to inform them that we would be approximately 15 minutes late due to road construction and the motion sickness experienced by our 10-year-old child during our four-hour drive. The representative who made our reservation assured us that this delay was acceptable. However, only one minute after the official departure time, we received a message stating that the boat's skipper could not wait for our group of 11, despite the fact that we had paid over a thousand dollars for the trip. When we subsequently called, the representative did not initially answer but later indicated that she would attempt to accommodate us. Eventually, she informed us that the weather forecast for the following day was poor, and as a result, they would not be able to proceed with our trip. We were then directed to speak with the owner, who was inflexible and refused to uphold the commitment made by her staff, despite this commitment being witnessed by our entire group during the phone call. I later found out that they were running a trip that day. Moreover, I could not help but perceive undertones of discrimination in her communication, which I believe may have been influenced by our ethnic background. In contrast, I reached out to Narooma Charters, who were exceptionally accommodating and managed to salvage our trip. Upon informing the owner of my intention to post a negative review due to my experience, she accused me of blackmail and threatened to report my actions to the authorities. Please do not go with this discriminating, rude and lying business. The other providers around are much better to deal with and have more humanity and are more accomodating
