Established on the beautiful Hunter River in 1828, Dalwood Estate is regarded as the birthplace of Hunter Valley wine.

As the longest-running commercial vineyard in Australia, Dalwood Estate purchased cuttings from the first Australian vine collections of Macarthur, Busby, Shepherd and Blaxland. Early colonial Dalwood wines from those vines won prizes at international exhibitions. It's a proud heritage.

Today Dalwood Estate continues to raise the benchmark in Australian winemaking, placing passion, expertise and technique at the heart of all they do. They are proud to bring you an outstanding selection of Hunter Valley wines born from a legacy close to two centuries in the making.

Visitors can discover the rich history and charm of Dalwood Estate through private group wine tastings by appointment and special events throughout the year. The estate provides a peaceful escape and a chance to reconnect with the history of the Hunter Valley.

The estate's monthly cellar door and community days offer an opportunity to experience local wine, food and markets in a relaxed vineyard setting, bringing the community together at one of the Hunter Valley's most historic destinations. (Commencing 6th December 2026)
