We experienced the snowfall at Mt. Baw baw.
There are heaps of snow play activities for all ages. They had belts for kids/adults who were toboganning to bring them back after the slide which is great to avoid exhaustion and frustration in young ones who want non stop fun. The hire rates are also cheap.
Plenty of snow play areas, warm seating areas, Clean rest rooms and cafes.
We went through Icy creek. The drive was beautiful at Tourist rd, however due to weather conditions we experienced fallen trees on the rd. Drivers should be very careful and alert at all times.

Amazing experience. Definitely one of the best places to experience snow.
You will need snow chains for your car if you aren’t driving a four wheel drive vehicle. Chains can be hired on the way (for a deposit) and fitted at the resort entrance for a $20 fee. There was a queue to get them installed. (Took about an hour for us)
There are plenty of activities such as skiing at the resort.

This image captures a serene winter landscape, likely in a mountainous or high-altitude region. The foreground is dominated by a blanket of pristine white snow, with delicate blades of grass poking through, each one encrusted with sparkling frost, creating a beautiful, intricate texture. The low angle of the shot emphasizes the close-up detail of these icy formations.
In the midground and background, the sun is either rising or setting, casting a warm, golden glow across the horizon and filtering through the sparse trees, which appear to be covered in snow or frost themselves. The sky transitions from a soft blue directly overhead to hues of orange and yellow near the sun, with wispy clouds adding to the ethereal atmosphere. The overall impression is one of crisp, cold beauty, tranquility, and the quiet magic of a snowy morning or evening.

Visited during off season but it was a public holiday and nothing was open... During summer I was hoping to have at least a coffee shop open. Still - the pace is magnificent with great views from the carpark and top of the downhill run.

Fantastic day out and well worth the drive from Melbourne. Very easy access to parking and toboggan area for the kids :-). Cross country skiing and downhill are available. There are two main eating shops and bbq and warm eating area.
