Great Walhalla Alpine Trail

Walhalla is a historic gold mining town. It took us almost 2 hrs to reach from south east of Melbourne. We went there especially for the train ride and it was worth it, make sure to book the tickets in advance. There are few things to explore, but due to the time constraints we couldn't cover much. I was later told that if you want to experience the nature's colour,visit Walhalla in autumn 🍂 and you be mesmerised by Nature's beauty. On our way back to Melbourne, we stopped at Moe for barbie. It was great place, especially if you are with kids, as it had a huge playground with lots of swings. Barbie was in a shed too with lots of place to sit.Aldi and coles was nearby. Overall,it was great experience.

Awesome activity for the family in a gorgeous part of the country! The volunteers (it’s completely run by volunteers!) are the friendliest people ever and so knowledgeable about the local area. There’s even wifi so you can connect and listen to commentary on your headphones (so remember to pack a set). Definitely pre-book tickets and arrive early as it’s best to get a seat on the far side of the train as that has the best views.

A beautiful, small, cozy town in Victoria. Went on a slightly cold sunny day and it was perfect. I guess it would be a perfect getaway in autumn.

What an amazing day out! All the staff were very helpful, answered all our questions especially from our inquisitive kids, they let our kids ring the bell 🔔 before the train departed, they even guided us to have a family photo in the front drivers cabin with the kids, stunning waterfall along the way and the views in general were beautiful, Steve (I think his name was) was very informative and friendly, all staff were great, the whole experience was 5 stars 🌟 Thankyou for helping us create a great family day out, highly recommend checking this out ! 😍
