Ballarat Aviation Museum

Lovely quaint museum tucked away at a quaint airport. Very reasonably priced for a passionate small endeavour, was fantastic to see some of the history of our local aerodrome as well as preserved aviation equipment. I visited on a rather bleak, well typical Ballarat day…..but even with thunder roaring outside there was still plenty of interesting tidbits to explore. It is a small museum, however that’s all a part of the charm I say.

What an absolute hidden gem. So many amazing peices, and a beautiful wirraway on display. Definitely worth a look for the history/aviation lover.

A nice place to enjoy aviation engines and history. Small museum, but anyone who is interested in aviation, may enjoy spending 1 hour here. Ticket: $10 each adult, $20 for famiy.
