The Greater Blue Mountains Heritage Trail starts at Emu Plains with the Arms of Australia Inn and proceeds up the Blue Mountains and through to Lithgow and then back down the Bells Line of Road to the Hawkesbury.
There are many places of interest along the way, historical societies, family history societies, museums, heritage buildings, heritage gardens and businesses with a heritage or historical aspect.
Further information can be obtained from Visitor Information Centres at Glenbrook, Katoomba, and Lithgow. Explore the rich heritage and exhilarating environment of the Blue Mountains region.
Come and stay for the weekend or longer.

Decent parking space to park 8-10 cars. There is a movie hall running informative bits about Blue Mountains. The shop had some interesting stuff for sale. Also, the toilets were clean and well maintained.

Wonderful visitors Centre, with fantastic, friendly staff, and a lot of truly interesting information about the area, its history and what you can see. Highly recommended!

I would always recommend a stop here before you head off for a bushwalk or if you are planning the next few days in the mountains. The staff are friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and there are lots of resources to help plan a walk or your stay . The little gift shop is very good quality too. And don't forget it is 1min by car from one of the best views in the mountains, and the start of many trails. Check it out!

We parked at the Heritage Centre and did the circular Fairfax Heritage Track via the George Philips Lookout and Govetts Leap Lookout, which took us back to the Heritage Centre. About 1.5 miles along wide mostly tarred tracks. Great views from the Lookouts, especially of Bridal Veil Waterfalls.
